its not an how to quit thread, its about mushroom cultivation let him smoke if he want, thats not the topic...
smoke particles are bigger than mold spores, so probably mold spores can stick to the smoke, go thru the polyfil or shotgun holes, go on your substrate and contaminate... if your culture is weak... lol
i did smoked in my grow area and i dont think it caused problem for fruiting, but if you try to do sterile work in the area you smoke, that would not be good at all

We just had someone else say smoke particles were smaller than mold spores. So, which is it?
Also this is totally a how to quit thread. Don't hijack.

Edit: Sorry, I realise it's kinda off topic, but I had to say something when I saw this mentioned, aha.
I read Allen Carr's book throughout the night of the 5-6th of July. I haven't smoked tobacco since I finished the book. If you really want to quit, read it. I don't want to sound like I'm trying to preach or anything but it really has been very surprisingly easy.

The patch, excercise, and a shit load of mushrooms helped me quit.
For weed you can vape.

I've read a few rather old threads on here that say all that smoke can carry contams into your chamber.
Smoke particles are far smaller than say a mold spore. I doubt the smoke itself will hurt anything but it does tend to increase the amount of dust in a room over time.
^^THIS
its just another vehicle for mold spores to hitch a ride on. even when i had a small studio, i'd go outside or hang out the window. even if u don't grow, there are some hot chicks who just won't budge when they get back to ur place and it smells like an ashtray :P

Interesting idea, you think UV light could be used to speed up rates of mutations?
