Some ID requests
    #21989959 - 07/24/15 11:58 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

These are a few species I found while wandering in some woods.  It's been rainy this year, and the temps have been in the 90s in the day, and 70s at night for the past week.  Trying to get a sense of what grows in this area.

Species #1:

Habitat:  Deciduous woods. Growing out of rocky soil.

Gills: Orange

Stem: Orange

Cap: Orange

Bruising:  Non observed.  How fast does a bruising change take place? Something you'd have to collect a specimen and observe later, or something  instant you'd see happening while in the field?

Spores:  White, possibly slight peach color in heavy deposit spot

Species #2:

Habitat:  Deciduous woods

Gills:  yellow pin-holes

Stem:  Whitish yellowish tanish, darker towards cap.

Cap:  Medium tan/light brown

Brusing:  None

Spore: No visible print was obtainable

Species #3:

Habitat:  Deciduous woods, growing directly out of fallen leaves.

Gills:  light tan

Stem:  light tan towards gills, progressively darker brown towards the base, culminating in a dark chocolate color.

Cap:  light brown in center, lighter tan at edges.

Bruising:  none

Spore Print: white

Species #4:

Habitat:  Deciduous woods, growing out of rocky soil.

Gills:  light golden yellow

Stem:  white, slightly bulbous towards base

Cap:  golden yellow

Spore Print:  White

The following two I'm less sure how to desribe as far as cap, gills, and stem, and not sure how to collect spores.

Species #5

Habitat: Deciduous woods, growing out of leaf litter

Gills: N/A

Stem: N/A

Cap:  Uh, pointy things?

Bruising: none

Species #6

Habitat: Deciduous woods, growing out of twigs

Gills:  N/A

Stem: offwhite, gelatinous

Cap:  Offwhite, gelatinous

Bruising:  None

Species #7

Habitat: Weedy garden bed

Gills:  medium tan

Stem: Tan, darker towards base

Cap: Dark tan in center, lightening towards edge

Spore Print:  Was a rusty brown color, but after checking again this morning, the caps were turned to brown goo and these little worms were crawling around, no trace of the prints remaining.

Bruising:  None
