Whats the best way to do this? Perhaps load a character sheet in a thread somewhere? Yah tripping DnD could be a weird game. It would take a strange crew of people.

Possibly, I was thinking an invite only UC forum would be a good way for us to upload all the necessary files and keep some unwanted riff raff out of the threads. I'm not really savvy in that department so maybe the DM could chime in with a plan.
I'm not really familiar with the play-by-post style so someone might need to explain to me how we incorporate dice and what format the posts should be in.

perhaps we could store character sheets in a "journal" post. (shroomery journal) I'm not familiar with user created forums but I think we could justify making one.
You can find a pdf for character sheets with a quick google search I believe.
I have a fair amount of experience with trying (key word there) to play D&D on psychedelics. If we do try this, micro-dosing would be the way to go. With micro dosing anything is possible.

Dudes, you guys could use a fighter class in your party. I'll oblige.
But has everyone decided what edition it's going to be? I''d vote for 5e because I have the books. If it's another version I might need some help finding files...

I think we voted for 3.5, I'm sure someone has the PDF's of all the core books.

I used to before I switched computers. Any one of us could easily torrent them though. They were on the pirate bay last I looked.

True, however I am unable to since I don't have access to a desktop for torrenting at the moment.

I wouldn't mind uploading some materials, but unfortunately I'm not on a supporter account so I don't have enough upload space in a thread...

There's really no need to download the core books for 3.5, They put everything you need to know in the SRD

I got 3.5 PH now
Thanks for the link too Thatkidwith, makes it easier to click links to where I want to go
So DM what's up? Should I create a level 3 character? Got any world background info thought up yet that would help in character creation? Like what languages we should know? Or any weird stuff like the world hates certain races/classes/alignments?

Okay, yeah, everybody make a lvl 3 character. No special rules at first, just treat it like a standard fantasy setting. Y'all will be starting off in a pretty regular town.
There will be prejudices amongst npcs, but that'll only apply to Kobolds and Goblins and stuff.

Ringolfnor Heavyhand Human Barbarian
Ringolfnor is 17 and comes from a race of pale, tall, hearty mountain-men. His family were known as Heavyhands as large hands run in their family. But a volcano erupted near his folk's realm and his people were scattered. He cannot find his parents or brothers and sisters, and after months of searching the ruins of their desolated cities in despair he finally abandoned his people's homeland and came down from the mountains.
the mountain-folk for the most part did not worship any particular deities, instead viewing nature and the cosmos as a sort of higher power, and practicing reverence to nature in their own personal ways.
Ringolfnor has had some interesting adventures since traveling down from the mountains, and has acquired spiked gauntlets that fit his large hands. He has found his skills in hammering and pickaxing in the mountains to cross over quite well to his two-handed greatsword. And he wears chainmail armor to protect him in combat which he has seemed to be attracted to as a magnet for some reason.
He speaks Dwarven because his folk have long had dealings with the dwarves that mine and live nearby their lands. And he is skilled at climbing. And of course he consumes various entheogenic plants and mushrooms including psilocybin, Aminita muscaria, poppy, datura, ephedra, and others that his people's shamans have passed down knowledge of generation to generation.

Real Name: Aldous Cromwell. Alias: Parker Reed Alias's for my Alias: Lee/Cyrus
A noblemen by birth, grew up wealthy/educated but has grown bored with the prim and proper life. He's turned to stealth/parkour/roguery for excitement, going on progressively more daring 'missions' until he got in over his head. (due to wealth my 'crimes' only goals were challenge and excitement, never malicious.) A fellow aristocrat finds out about my questionable hobbies, and decides to blackmail me. The deal being that if I do him occasional favors with my skills, he won't reveal my activities to the authorities.
After this incident I take my rogue work more seriously, and begin using disguises/proper gear. I become a private investigator with no clients, only my chaotic good tendencies guiding me. The incompetence of the town guard's investigative skills is corrected by my subtle hand. Wealthy criminals who pay for the ignorance of the guard get no special treatment from me. In the past I have identified with the aristocracy in despising the poor, but as I dwell among them (the poor) and gather a circle of acquaintances/informants I start to see things differently. (my favored disguise is that of a homeless man)
That's my idea so far but I'm sure I'll change something about it before we start.
(starting to strongly consider being a woman instead, but then most of my sweet names are ruined )

How are we rolling stats? 4d6 and drop the lowest?

Well, it's not like 32 points worth of abilities.
Use this calculator to figure out your scores. It's the most fair way to determine stats.

I made mine with the 4d6 drop lowest, but this 32 point buy system is more generous than what I rolled.
Ringolfnor just got his swole on!
