Multiple Mycelium Interaction

Aloha fellow Shroomeys,
Does anyone have experience or know how multiple species' mycelium interact?
Context: I'm wondering how a large grow bin (Imagine laundry basket in RR's movie x 5) filled with straw substrate and multiple layers/multiple species of grain spawn.

By species are you saying Oysters and P. Cubensis or just two varieties of P. Cubensis?

they will grow into one mass of mycelium and then produce the different fruits. they do not interbreed. this is not how to cross varieties of mushrooms.
there is little to no value in doing this, except for pure novelty.

same answer as before... you can mix cubes and oysters, but they will just grow cubes and oysters, and not so optimally.

WOW! All of my attempts at that, the oyster mycelium overran the Cubensis. Nice pic. I believe the OP is referring to two Cubensis varieties, which will be fine when fruited together.

Good info, but my intention is not to cross varieties, it is to utilize limited resources;
I have created a large bin out of pallets that I plan to fill with straw and inoculated grain spawn. I was wondering if I should create new bins for each species or if it will work successfully to just do one.
