PRESSURE COOKER PROBLEM

I literally have EVERYTHING I need to prep my substrate and inoculate my jars. The problem is my quart sized jars are too tall for my pressure cooker (I can only fit like three wide anyway). This is some BS. Is there anyway I can switch to like pint sized jars? I heard I shouldn't do this when using grain. I'm using WBS by the way. I might just go to Walmart tonight and return my quart sized jars and get pint sized ones. Thoughts?

you can put your grain in any jar that can withstand a PC cycle... why the fuck couldn't you? pint jars are just a waste of time for most people but go for it.

it's like 70 dollars for a new 23Q pressure cooker that holds 10 quarts. on ebay or craigslist you can find one that holds 4 quarts for 20 bucks. if that's out of your price range then why are you paying for internet

Before you get pints, measure your PC. PP5 plastic twisttops are shorter than glass quarts, though usually wider. No modified lids are needed, just untwist to allow steam in/out during the run, then twist them shut as you remove them. Ziplock twist n locks are the most common, generics are usually cheap. Check dollartree for cheap generics. Target also has generics.
--------------------
I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

that's a damn good idea but its hard to say which will allow more grain to be sterilized at once pp5 qts or pints I bet the pints will arrange better than the pp5's but who knows I can give you the dimensions of a pp5 qt if that will help

You could just take your pressure cooker pot into the store with you and check it. People might look at you weird. Just pay in cash and tell them you're making yogurt for your babymama and try to look pwhipped. The PP5's heat up and cool off really fast compared to glass since they have effectively no heat capacity, so it's pretty easy to get 2 runs of them done. Same considerations go for pp5 pints which I'd recommend. Twice the number of inoculations is twice the number of chances to introduce a contam, especially if you're doing G2G/wedges. MS/LI/LC, it's whatever.
I'm in the process of switching out all my glass for plastic.
For the dollarstore twist tops, The diamater of a 4 container cluster is 11" Might be able to get it down to near 10" by overlapping the rips around the top a bit if you have a bit of extra top clearance. Hight is 5.75" I think twist n locks may not have such large rims and will probably fit together a bit better.
BTW, on my pressure cooker, jars and containers can go over the lip of the vessel up and into the lid. Just want to make sure you tried closing the lid with the quarts, and didn't just call it after you saw them go over the rim. It just seems odd that they'd design a PC that wouldn't fit quarts standing.
