First Grow - Help??

So, I'm getting everything together for my first grow, and I was wondering if I had all of the materials needed for PF Tek style growing? So far I've gathered: Pressure Cooker Foxfarm Big and Chunky Perlite Nitrile Exam Gloves 24 Kerr Half-Pint wide mouth jars Bobs Red Mill BRF Ferti-Lome Horticultural Vermiculite Sterilite 66qt Tote (SAB)
I'll be getting spores sometime next week, and I havent decided if I want to knock up 4 or 8 yet, but I just wanted to make sure I'll be good to go for when things start moving!
Things still on my list: Alcohol Lamp (I have no idea where to purchase one) 108qt Bin (SGFC)

If I were you I'd get a larger tot for a SAB. the taller the better. IMO propane or butane torches work the best for flame sterilising as opposed to an alcohol lamp. You can get them at any hardware store for less than $20. 108qt is a pretty big SGFC. I hope you are making enough cakes to fill it. It is harder to maintain proper conditions in a larger fruiting chamber especially if it isn't full. Other than that I'd say you just need some spores and some 70% iso alcohol or Lysol wipes for when you do your SAB work.

I don't use a tote for my SAB anymore but my old one was a 105qt and I out grew it by my second grow. once you move past PF tek and get into grains and bulk grows You will want a tub tall enough that you can pour grain from one quart jar to another for G2G transfers. I made my current SAB out of plywood, a few pieces of old totes and some weather stripping. The extra room makes life much easier. Save the 66qt for a SGFC or crumble your cakes into some coir and verm once they colonise and make a 66qt monotub.

So I should use my 66qt for a SGFC instead?
And why propane/butane? Aren't those gases pretty dirty? If I could use butane then can i just use a lighter?

I agree. Wielding a syringe inside of a 66 qt tote sucks. Just switch your totes. 66 qt fruiting chamber.

Alright, will do. Also, would someone be so kind as to link to a monotub tek that could be used on a 66qt like Muda had mentioned?

I have an extra 66qt from moving and I figure I might as well use it, and if everything goes well then I could at least try to crumble one of them!

I don't use alcohol nearly as much since I blew up my old SAB and melted a pair of tyvek sleeves to my arms.

I just cut the sleeves off a tyvek paint suit. They really aren't necessary though.

I use bleach for everything, 2%. Yes, its worth the extra min
Pretty much the only sanitary thing I do is clean my tubs with it in-between.

Can anyone please answer my original question, whether or not I have all of the materials needed to start this hobby?

ive have started with much less than you and had success in the past. sanitation is the most important #1 goal. if your clean in your work, follow a tek and stay inside of parameters for prep, innoc and incubation you will make it to the fruiting process. Make sure your fc is clean and hopefully you will find success.

Okay, thanks guys, also, does anyone happen to know where I can find a tote larger than 66qts that is also tall? Anything bigger than 66qts is always short and wide!

Alright, back to walmart it is then. If I cant find a 110, what could I use instead? would a 66 work?
Also, after someone mentioning to crumble a cake to a monotub. I searched and searched and I'm still not sure I understand the process of a 50/50 monotub or how it works.. I apologize for probably being a pain in the ass guys, once I have everything I need bookmarked and I understand what I'm doing I'll be less of a pain!
