Way too small. Those electric ones are tiny on the inside. Return it and get something else. You paid WAY too much for a PC with shit capacity!

Unfortunately, it is going to be too small for anymore than 1 or 2 quart jars. I recommend this cooker from wal-mart, which can hold 7 quart jars at once: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Presto-16-Quart-Aluminum-Pressure-Canner/5913467
I have used this one for a while, and I've been pretty happy with it.

I think those quick cookers dont quite go up to 15psi like the big pressure canners most people here use, but aside from being tiny it should sterilize fine, just make sure to keep it going long enough

We only plan on doing a small grow for the first one. We will buy a better and bigger one soon but I want to make sure this one will work for now...

Am I missing something? Why does it have to be 15 psi? So, this will work okay?

From what the reviews seem to indicate it doesn't get to 15psi. Ie. having to cook recipes longer than they would have had to with their stovetop unit.
Also, this thing has a 90 minute timer. I dunno if it shuts off at that point, but if you are going to PC grains in this it would have to be longer than 90 minutes if it doesn't reach 15psi. You're looking at probably 2-2.5 hours if it gets to like 11-12 psi. If it only does 6 psi, you probably need to run it for like 3-4 hours.
Not worth it for a couple jars.

I would definitely invest in a larger cooker once you do your current small grow. A good one will last a few decades. If you plan on doing cakes, buy the pint mason jars and see how many you can fit in the pressure cooker.

You spent too much money. And you are planning on getting another if things work out with this one? For hell's sake! Cancel the order and get a 16 quart job for half the price that WILL work for sure.

Even if it does reach 15 psi, you're gonna be pressure cooking one jar at a time in that thing. You said you got it for free, right? Because for $150 you could get a giant 23-qt Presto like I have. That thing is pretty much the biggest size you could buy. The bigger the better with PCs man. If you can return it, RETURN IT. And get this baby. Personally, it's always worked like a charm, and it's half the price. Fuck, I don't remember it only being $80 when I bought it.
