Maybe the next one will be a cortinarius.
There's a difference between a mushroom staining blue and already being a blue or purple color before its picked. On psilocybes there is a definite reaction when pinched that ranges from light blue to dark black and it indicates the presence of psilocybin. However, psilocybin aren't the ONLY mushrooms that stain blue. There is a deadly species of galerina and a bolete that is poisonous as well to name a few.

You are correct. There has been found to be psilocybin in Galerina. My point was that there is a reaction there, it's just a mistake to eat them.
"Galerina steglichii is very rare, bruises blue and contains the hallucinogen psilocybin." Wikipedia
Galerina marginatas flesh also may bruise blue.

Nope. I'm even afraid to sample the tissue of unidentified species for a description of the taste.
I'm the guy that would taste a poisonous mushroom piece the size of an eraser and end up in the hospital.
Actually I'm just paranoid.
