This is what I would recommend for entry level unit that isn't a mech mod. Mech mods are the way to go though. But in the end, I had to give up vaping because it felt like an adult pacifier. Nothing against it though for those that need the nicotine or want to quit smoking.

Nah regulated box mods are the way to go... far safer than mechs.. more options.. variable wattage/voltage. Mechs are nice and all but a good regulated box mod is far superior IMO.

I agree with you there. That's really what I meant, my terminology is a little rusty. I was mainly referring to mechanical RDA's and manually coil builds. My mech tube is great, never failed on me but I do agree, the additional options, regulated power, and safety features are a better choice.

So far I haven't had any that I dislike, but my favorite is the "galaxy guts". It's a raspberry cheesecake & it's amazing.

It's not just Asian stuff, there's no regulation of any components of e-cigs whatsoever. There could (literally) be anything in them.

Well it's a good thing you can make your own juice and know exactly what's in it
Just because there's no regulation in place doesn't mean all the people/companies selling these products aren't professionals who take their shit seriously
I'm sure there are some sketchy vendors and devices but that certainly doesn't go for the whole industry I'm tired of you playing that card
Regulation would do nothing but fuck up the market that has been created or possibly drive it underground

Assuming you ordered your own nicotine, PG etc. How would you know anything about its purity or manufacturing processes?

Because the companies that sell nicotine, PG, VG, et cetera are PROFESSIONALS
If you simply ask them they are more than willing to send you gas chromatography data on any of their products, at least they will if they take their business seriously
You assume that these companies are all being shady and lieing about what they are selling to people, which may be true of certain companies but definitely not all of them

That isn't my assumption at all.
So you're saying "responsible" companies will provide GC/MS data, but a regulation to require this (and to prove that the data are legitimate) is too much of a burden?

in the US they just passed regulation FDA that will severely limit available juices and put lots of businesses under.
for now, i recommend the kanger subox mini and 3mg nicotine juice. i've had the nautilus tanks bvc coils, etc. but i wouldn't go back after using the subox mini.
i like the more expensive juices but that's because i came from mountbaker and think their juice is pretty cheap/shitty. i do, however, buy as much of my tanks and parts and gear from MBV. great prices.
personal favorites are as follows:
mother's milk colossus MILK (not sure the brand) and a local maker here has Horchata that I think is great.
