Presto Pressure Canner

Hi guys!
I have 23 quart Presto Pressure Canner and I think I fucked it up last night. I set some jars, put it on a gas stove and then hmmm... I got hammered drunk and fell asleep... all of the water evaporated but when I woke up it was still jiggling. Now I noticed that because of boiling it dry, the bottom of my canner is not flat anymore. Any ideas how to fix that? I'm trying right now to boil water in it and then while still hot put it on a flat surface... maybe heat and weight will help ... Wadda ya think?

Uhhhhh most likely not. It might not even be stable to handle the right pressure anymore so watch out. I've had that happen to tons of cooking pans I have and they're pretty much fucked when that happens. How beveled is the bottom?

Quite a bit... I'll make a photo when I stop boiling it. But one can obviously say that it's not standing straight on flat surface :/

If the bottom warped cus it ran dry you take it to the junk yard and get your 3 dollars in scrap.
Trying to fix it is about as full retard as it gets

As long as the top still seats, it'd be super convenient for steaming PF cakes compared to a regular pot.
I was gonna say you might as well try bringing it up to pressure, until I calculated there will be around 1700lbs of pressure just on the bottom of the PC at 15psi. Maybe worth gently bringing it up to 5 psi and seeing what happens, though that's still 565lbs on the bottom.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

I was thinking somthing like... that if the bottom looks like roundish now due to the heat, strucure of the metal (or/and the temper of it) got ruined and it would be hmm... unsafe at least to use it even fi I could manage to make the bottom flat again...

If it's abnormally shaped, it's unsafe to use. That should be in the manual if you read it.
That's what happens when you get drunk while doing something important; you fuck it up. Is drinking really more important than growing mushrooms, especially with a bomb on your stove? C'mon man. Not trying to be a condescending asshole, but you should really sort out your priorities.

My presto is warped on the bottom, I'm pretty sure it's from heating it too much. But I've used the warped presto probably around 20+ times. And it works fine.

Metal is pretty strong. Maybe bring it up to 5psi and see how much creaking you hear.
Also, just let GT punish himself as much as he sees fit for the loss, whatever financial relevance it carries for him.

You're gonna have the Boston bombing in your kitchen.
But hey, that's not my problem.

15psi/barely 1 bar is pretty low pressure, i doubt a stainless steel pot is weakened enough by a household cooker to rupture at this point Even if the thing caved at a weak spot with so little pressure, its not going to go off like a bomb

You would be surprised. I've seen damaged kegs fail and they're usually 12psi. You wouldn't want to be next to it

At 15 PSI, a 16 inch tall 12 inch diameter pressure cooker would have a total outward force of 3.14159 (12*16+2*6*6) in^2 * 15psi = 12,440 lbs
That's basically a car pushing out on the lid, a car on the bottom, 3 pushing out over the walls, unless I missed something with my math. Staggeringly more than I would have imagined.
There's a reason for the multiple redundant safeties on these things.
