Pressure Cooker Pot in the Oven
    #21982171 - 07/22/15 09:41 PM (8 years, 6 months ago)

I need to bake my perlite to rid it of Trich spores from my last grow.

I have a 16qt Presto PC.  I would like to dump all the perlite into the pot and bake it in the oven with the lid off to kill the Trich spores, but I'm worried it may melt the handles on the PC.

Does anyone know if it will?

Here's a picture of my PC:

Don't worry about your perlite worry about your skill and how clean your inoculant is

I didn't think about boiling it.  Good idea.

These cakes put out 4 or 5 decent flushes before getting Trich so I don't think it was a problem with my skill or spores at that point, just a spent, vulnerable cake.
