a lot of intelligent people are scared of what they dont know, or what goes against their ingrained beliefs. I think a lot of people conform to what they are told. Some people think if the government says so it must be true, they look to authority for answers or direction without cause to question. The educational system is one way that they condition us.

I know. Its strange how people just make stuff up
Over the last 15 years, I've had dozens of conversations about UFO's and Aliens with some pretty intelligent people. In every case when someone (again, an intelligent person) had certainty the whole topic was nonsense, in every case when I asked them what they truly knew about the topic? Which cases they were aware of? Which witnesses they had heard? Which astronauts or military people they had read about ... IN EVERY SINGLE CASE they knew almost nothing about the topic. EVERY CASE.
Most people that laugh at the UFO / Alien topic or just knee jerk say it's nonsense and say stuff like "it's all been de-bunked" have no flipping clue at all about the topic. They saw a TV show or two and that was about it.
All you need to do is provide hard evidence. So many crafts. So many aliens. Not a single piece of evidence.
"I saw a UFO or I saw an alien" is not evidence. Those are stories. The more stories there are without evidence the more likely the stories are just bullshit.

I felt exactly the same way at one point. Laughed at the topic. Would knee jerk react with "there's no evidence" every time it came up and kinda roll my eyes at the occasional "nut' I'd see on TV or here talking about it ... "take another bong hit, bud" kinda stuff.
Then I met someone that really knew the topic that could talk about it fluently and nearly fell over laughing when I said "where's the evidence?" I soon realized I was just saying what society conditioned me to say along with most of the rest of the population. Truth is, there is a ton of evidence. The government, however, has NO DESIRE at all to produce video of an alien or alien craft and, it's exactly the opposite. When that evidence is quickly found, the government has rapid response groups that get to it, quarantine it, pack it up and take it away and then intimidate the eyewitnesses, many of which that come forward anyway.
It's hard for many to conceive that the government could pull all this off even though we have literally thousands of people working on super secret weapons systems every day that we know nothing about. The government is very capable of keeping secrets and pushing disinformation to confuse a topic. The Phoenix Lights case from 1997 is a great example of where literally hundreds if not thousands saw an enormous UFO, reported it and then days later a complete and total nonsense explanation was produced by authoritative sources and the story just disappeared. If you go down to Peru/Bolivia and talk to the natives at Lake Titicaca, they will tell you've they've seen alien craft flying in and out of the lake every month for YEARS. Then, of course, you have astronauts that confess that alien spacecraft were following them on their journey to and from the moon. There are military people that have come forward that briefed Presidents on the alien presence on the planet and there are documents with drawing and diagrams of alien technology, devices, etc. obtained by high ranking military people that worked on these projects. The military files released by Brazil in the last 10 years through their freedom of information disclosure are astonishing.
The government decided, in the 40's and 50's that they wanted total control of all physical evidence (crafts and alien bodies) and it was treated as an above top secret topic meaning anyone in the government on these top secret projects that talked about it was risking hard jail time. They organized rapid response teams to clean up and collect the evidence and, as such, we are never going to get a large piece of an alien spacecraft showing up on the local news somewhere. That's just not going to happen.
This is a link to 12 mostly government documents that take the topic of alien spacecraft very, very seriously.
http://www.afterdisclosure.com/2012/07/real-majestic-twelve.html
If you haven't read a book on UFO's and Aliens by Richard Dolan, then you probably know very little about the topic and the wide range of evidence that exists and has been organized for easy reference:
http://www.richarddolanpress.com/#!books/cnec
Anyway, that's my last post on this thread. This topic's been beaten to death and minds are mostly made up anyway.

It appears you greatly misunderstand everything I'm doing.
I've said a few pages back in a post (and have said many other times) that I don't have beliefs, only ideas. Beliefs are set in stone and resist change, where ideas change with the situation.
I'm a skeptic in as well, it's my experiences that have drove me to my position, and the reason why it says "wild speculation" above those paragraphs is because I'm wildly speculating on the possibilities of what the event may have been or was related to, this is great practice, creative speculation is not something that should be dismissed.
It may be difficult for you to understand some of the more abstract concepts in shamanism, there's a good deal of abstract models and metaphor being used to describe experiences that can't be translated into human language
As for my ideas involving shamanism, you're telling me to deny my personal experience because it doesn't match your view of of your reality.
What you perceive as an "active imagination" is your personal misunderstanding of my interpretation of genuine mystical experiance.
It's funny you say "the ideas I come up with", I did not "come up " with these ideas, these are all things I was shown or that I experienced while in a shamanic trance. These ideas are thousands of years older than most. It's ancient to have spiritual practice involving having guiding spirits (the shaman which attached itself to me during my initiation), and using entheogens to obtain information regarding lost objects, weather patterns, or other future events involving the people around you, as well as diagnosing illness, and using entheogens for communication with the dead and supernatural entities, etc...actually everything I described is deeply embedded in shamanic lore, though since it was derived from my personal experience it's unique to me personally.
About the William butler Yeats poem "sailing to Byzantium" the section of that poem I posted was about at death his soul transforming into a beautiful golden disc in the sky like nothing seen on earth, so astonishing that it would impress the Lord's and ladies of Byzantium... .. I think the compairison of this poem to the idea that the UFOs were my soul and my shaman guides soul exteriorized as golden discs in the sky from 3 days in the future, because the event was so strong it broke the bonds of space and time and was able to project itself before my past self is a valid possibility, and actually fits in fairly well with Carl jungs concept of the UFO...
As I said in my previous post Quote:
They likely were air-craft, but if you only knew how surreal those three days were and how impossible the peak experience was, you would speculate there was some deeper connection to these events....who was it that said "a coincidence is what your left with when you have applied a bad theory" meaning what you perceive as coincidence is actually a set of connections your not picking up on...
If you don't get it, that's fine, but to tell people to "be careful" with their creative ideas is the exact opposites of what people need to do...the people who could not understand Einstein's abstract metaphors dismissed it as crazy talk, it was dismissed as pseudo-science until we desperately needed the atom bomb and started taking some of these abstract concepts seriously.
I'm convinced that I'm actually more sane than the majority of the people I meet....the paradox of transcending cultural programming and ego, of attaining an "enlightened" state, is the more you transcend the more alienated you will become from those who haven't.
Most people are miserable, they are consumed by ego, materialism, and the desire to live up to cultures expectations of what they "should" be, I meet very few happy people.
I've reached a state of happiness and comfort that isn't transient, I'm comfortable with myself, I love my life, and I feel truely blessed to be on this earth, I feel I've attained a very accurate view on the situation at hand through careful and meticulous examination and deep thought...yet most people are so miserable that when you tell them this they won't believe you, they feel that because they could not escape unhappiness, that there's no way that a simple person like myself could have.

your right, i did misunderstand. it seemed like you were rather convinced your ideas undeniably accurate. and in some ways i still read some of what you just said like you believe it as more than an idea. i only said to be careful about what you choose to believe after all.
and in no way did i compare intelligent people to most people in any way they are similar, that was an assumption you came up with. speaking of ideas YOU come up with (that perhaps you're not of aware of)

When it comes to my shamanic practice I actually feel there is "reality" to these experiences in hyperspace, that's the basis of shamanism...but when I'm wildly speculating I write "wild speculation" above the paragraph.
The UFO encounter did occur, and 3 days later I smoked DMT for the first time, which is when my shamanic initiation occured, all my accounts of hyperspace are 100% accurate reports of what I experienced, so there is a good deal of truth to these things, but there's also so much that can not be known, so I fill in the blanks with what ever speculation I can. I am connected to the ghost of an ancient shaman in hyperspace, he gives me ideas, he gives me songs to contact specific deities, he shows me where objects exist in the outer world, and he provides me with information about the future, he is a key fugue in my practice, his karmic energy and soul became bonded to mine that first trip into hyperspace, and he never left, yet he has also been very helpful.
Again, I'm guessing you hear things that you believe can't be possible so you dismiss them as crazy.
I was pushed into my position by personal experience, my experiences in life are far different from most peoples, I've experienced things they don't even believe are possible, so the conclusions I draw are not going to be applicable to people who have not had similar experiances. What you call "sane" simply means your thoughts and experience conform to the thoughts and experience of the majority. There's nothing crazy about my spiritual practice or my experiences attained through entheogenic shamanism...
Consider this, your brain takes in something like 12 billion signals per second, all of which (except smell) enter the brain via the thalamus, these remaining signals are then sent to the cortex regions where your higher processing occurs, where you process what these signals mean intellectually, how you should react to them emotionally, etc..so you are only perceiving a very small slice of reality...the thalamus and the cortex regions are connected by 5ht2a and 5ht2c receptors, and when you ingest a traditional psychedelic, all of which will always have agonism at these receptors, it's "shutting-down" the filters in the thalamus, so rather than only receiving a small slice of the signals that reality is composed of, you receive them all, you are actually perceiving MORE of reality when you take a traditional psychedelic...
Before you dismiss my perceptions as crazy, just remember where these perceptions are generated, in this highly receptive state where your brain is flooded with all the signals that are truly surrounding it...
I don't expect you to believe me, but just because my experience doesn't conform to your experience or you expectations of what a "sane" experience is does not mean that I'm misprecieving reality, or imagining these things. (Besides the bizzare ideas with little to no basis in reality had "wild speculation" labeling them, I figured that would have been a clear indication that I was wildly speculating in those sections...
Ok, moving on from this topic...

I think that we are just in a nomans land slab city side of the universe. Maybe other parts of the solar systems are busy and functional. And we all are just stuck in a corner.
I read some of stichins books and I like how to talks about how planets use to crash into each other and the sum race called it a war of gods . Its was called " genesis revisited "

Warning: Illuminati telegraphed message at work. And the message is that the 7 Ooompah Loompahs represent the seven planets and Gene Wilder represents the 8th-Neptune-which represents transformation and the trident. This means that a great transformation will occur on Sept 23rd of this year and possibly on the 15th of Sept there will be a negative event in Nepal.

i personally believe we are the left over slaves of the previous beings that came here or created this place. they say we cant find our missing link, well i think we may be the cross breed of apes with the dna of the previous beings. they are discovering all these different types of early human hominids. sounds to me like they were breeding and creating different various types to see which race or strand is most capable of being taught and retaining knowledge. which to me sounds kind of sounds like what most botanists do when cross breeding different strains of plants to come up with the best producing plant. they came here seen that our early hominids ancestors were capable of being manipulated into doing the heavy gold and silver mining that most of the ufologists believe is what they came here for and put us to work while they kept a look out for other invading species or what ever they were doing. and upon their departure they taught us how to survive and even advance our knowledge of the universe and our planets continuous cycles which cause the seasons changing, thus changing us from a nomad way of life to a self sustaining economy of humans who can adapt to any climate change. if you think about it what is the most simple forms of life? well seeming as the only life forms we know are the ones we live next to including us, you have to wonder if other planets form similar shaped animal and beings... i ponder upon this only because if you blow a bubble it comes out a perfect circular orb , kind of like our planet. why are all planets round? why do all galaxies have to have the planets revolving around something in a circle? everything seems to have a simplicity to its shape and motion in this massive expanding galaxy. people see it as so intricate that it cant be a mistake made by natural selection. but maybe it is that exactly? naturally if we weren't tampered with i would assume that other planets maybe far older then ours have somewhat similar life and shaped humanoids? does that make any sense to anyone else??
