Ok, so two main questions...A. I pc'd some pf tek jars on Saturday, but haven't had time to knock them up yet, they have been stored in a clean place with foil, tape over innoc holes, etc... They still good to use, or just toss em and start over? Also, the gasket on my pc just mysteriously doesn't lock the lid on anymore, kind of like it shrunk..anyone have this happen? What's the cause? Also, mainly what is the best way to sterilize brf jars w/out pressure cooker? I love this community so much, and have gotten so much help/gained so much knowledge.... U guys r truly awesome :-)
Thx in advance... -ganjaburger

I think you can forego the PC for PF jars bro. Read some teks, there's plenty doing the jars w/o a PC. And they should be OK for a few days after PCing. But I wouldn't wait too long.
Good luck.

I've gotten brf jars thru the mail an who knew how long they sat. They all worked just fine. Your jars are OK to use.
Try an use some vegetable oil on the gasket it may gain some life back.
You can steam sterilize brf jars on a rack above boiling water for 120mins, with a lid on the pot. Start your timer once the water has reached 212°F
Good luck man

They're still good good op as long as they have had the foil over them still. Knock em up soon or the water content drying would throw off your grow.
You can use a regular pot to steam sterilize your brf jars so a pressure cooker that doesn't work would still suffice.

I just drill 4 (1/4") holes in each jar lid. Then make the brf mix 2:1:1 ratio and add a layer of verm over the top.
It would take a LONG time for a brf quart jar to colonize. It would eventually stall out. That's why half pint wide mouth jars are the best for making cakes.
You break up colonized grains on a bike tire, not brf cakes. And don't case brf cakes either, roll them in verm and fruit them in a SGFC or put them through a cheese grater and spawn to bulk!

Everybody always says that quart jars stall....I've never had the problem personally..... I obviously can't fruit as a cake as it won't come out of the jar... Anyone else think of a good way I can utilize this Jar ....it is about done now, and it is around 22 days old. I've grown before, just jumped right in with grain originally..so now that my pc is messed up...I will b working with pf tek for a while. ..
Thx again everybody :-) Ganjaburger
