Hello, here are pictures of a long spine peru and a small spine peru. Both appear to have the same condition. Being new to the cacti, my girlfriend is not sure what is going on. They are sitting in an indoor room with a southern exposure so they get light all day. (Currently around 12 hours.) The soil is dry and has been for a few weeks. I don't believe that it is base rot because it does not appear that they are rotting at the base. They are stiff. They look like they are peeling. Thanks.
