Onward to the grow! Featuring: Ecuador, Golden Teacher, B+, Chitwan, and PES Hawaiian
I purchased the "Mega Mushroom Growing and Incubator kit" from some site on Google, grab my 4 pack of syringes and began inoculation!
First time use with these jars and I'm impressed with the no contam, only 2 jars lost due to my lack of sterilization but colonization was quick! Except for the Chitwan.. Around 80% colonization, the strands showed a halt in growth.
Knowing the dangers of flipping a jar as well as the benefits, I said "Fuck it." as I felt they needed that last pocket of air. Within a few days you can see the clear, visible line where the growth had stopped and began to re-expand. Amazing
It was 3 to 4 days after reaching 100% colonization when I noticed three jars with in-vitro pins so I decided it was time. I submerged the cakes underwater for 24 hours but the cakes would bob up like cork and mix themselves around. I take my small loss of detail and place them inside their fruiting chamber, hoping to identify them when they're done

I don't want a high five, I just want to be able to contribute information, pictures, and help I don't know why members here dislike grow kits

A lot of people don't like to see others using "kits" I was a sucker for this too man. I bought the kit and followed the tek and only after my first harvest in doing more and more research did I realize how badly I was ripped off and also how much money I wasted for the sake of not doing proper research. Not to mention the tek was complete BS. That could be the reason no one is excited to see anyone using a "kit" My advice would be do away with the kit. Do your own research and piece it together your self.
Start here: http://www.mushroomvideos.com/
If your gonna invest money in what your doing, do it this way. The digital copy is stupid cheap! And more than well worth it. Keep advancing in your hobby, but do it the research and you'll find you agree with me. And you might understand why no one is excited to hear about "kits" Best luck man - Storm.

All kits are for suckers. You pay a needless markup, thats how they profit, by being the middle man for you. 1/2 pints = $15 Brown Rice = $2 Vermiculite = $5 Coconut Fiber = $5 Monotub = $10 Polyfil = $3
$40 bucks man, and that nets you solid yields. I work and have classes too, this is a hobby
Edit : Your kit is bunk brother. Got a nice PMP in there doing nothing for you. Did you really pay $140 + S/H on that thing?

Kits are for children...but good luck to you regardless... But a mini mono will take up the same space as a kit with four times the yield

Mini-Monos have become my favorite... Not knocking your interest in Mycology, but you can make your own "kit" with higher quality items for much cheaper$$$...but if it works for you...it works...definitely beware of any "teks" in kits...If everyone stopped posting on this site today...You could still find everything you need to know and then some...Read, Read, and then Read some more...I'm constantly learning from this place.

Kit or no kit you have good results on the first grow which many cannot say. So maybe it was worth it for you. Hopefully you have learned the basics and can expand your skills! Congrats!

The one he typed in, yeah, that's their $140 model and it has a PMP
Not even a tiny pressure cooker is included

Yes, spending $140 when I could have just spent $40 seems like a loss. But I live, I learn. Thank you all for your input, I'll look into investing in a pressure cooker

Ok but seriously for advice, ditch the airpump and junk and make a SGFC. PMP doesn't exchange air properly. If your talking return on investment, salvage what you can and learn more, or just enjoy this one off. If you aren't going to do any mods, just fan the crap out of a few times a day to bust the CO2 out from the bottom.
