how do i achieve this feat?
the easiest thing is getting the leaves themselves to root... all i had to do was brake the leaf along the stem... and place in water.
in about 2-3 weeks the leaf has roots shooting down and will pop up a new plant every where there is a break.
i plan to send non-rooted leaves as well so my friend can do some on his own.
ho do i send from one opposite end of the country to the other without the organism dying?

Send them wrapped in a moist piece of paper towel near the base. Place that inside a ziplock and send in a basic padded envelope. Send 'unsnapped' leaves to decrease chances of any rot/infection.
There are web crawlers that view threads as well as guests that cannot reply.

would priority cut it for getting them all the way across the country?
and you are basically saying to not send any snapped ones even if they are rooted?

Yea but you can even send them first class if you wanted with 2 stamps assuming it is under 1 oz. Will take 5-7 days to get there; I've had leaves in the post for a week without any troubles and someone I know mentioned that can last for a month in the post sending this way; like in overseas shipments.

How does this work exactly? Do you just slap 2 stamps on the envelope and they automatically put it as first class, or do you have to use a certain envelope/write on the envelope or something?

You slap on 2 forever stamps on a padded envelope that is over 1/4" to a max of 3/4" thick are considered 'first class flats'. If it is padded you should just assume it is over 1/4" to be safe.
Just label as you normally would and it gets there.
This website has the current rates. http://www.nerdylorrin.net/jerry/postages/ I use this to check price of envelope when I want to send a gift without a return address and just drop it in a mailbox.
