When the DA has someone in on the operation to testify you didn't card them, it goes a lot further than what the camera shows. Like I said, get a lawyer. There are any number of holes to poke in the prosecution, especially when the only witness you didn't card is the camera. It's not a slam dunk dismissal, but it's not quite as damning as it would seem.
I wouldn't have given any answers to a question that could be remotely incriminating (like "I thought I did", that means you acknowledge you perhaps didn't) but you did, so just don't say anything further. Get a lawyer. Let him do any further talking to the cops. Don't even talk to co-workers or your boss about the case.
Yeah I talked to the cop over the phone, is that bad? I spoke to a lawyer as well he said he didn't have enough information about the case to give me any advice on what's going to happen. That I needed to have the papers.
How do i tell him I carded him when the video shows I did not? isn't that incriminating by itself?

He either buys or sells and now the cops have all the cell data and wants OPs. Maybe he will just end up telling them on accident.

You say nothing and leave it up to them to prove that you did, but that is something that will happen only if you go to trial so you really shouldn't be thinking of that right now. All you need to do is keep your mouth shut.
Yes it was a bad idea to talk to police. It's ok, we all make mistakes, but now you know you can't talk your way out of trouble, you can only say things that are potentially incriminating once you're implicated as someone suspicious. Cops will say all sorts of things to try and get you to talk, they are all just tactics to fuck you over ignore them and keep quiet.
When you get a warrant, turn yourself in, get someone to bail you out, and either go hire a lawyer or wait until your arraignment and be prepared to show you're unable to pay for a lawyer yourself, and they will get you one. Then you will have to make appointments to talk to that lawyer, who probably will be more busy then a paid lawyer so harder to work with, but still your best bet.
You might be able to get this dropped or plea out so that you'll have no record. That is your goal, and staying quiet until you talk to a lawyer is the way to that goal at this point.

He might be getting fucked with by police. It sounds like they don't have enough to arrest him and are hoping that if they lean on him he'll say something stupid. I don't see how this could be a troll, it just makes him look naive and probably not the calibre of person who should be upholding liquor laws, no offense. If you made a mistake OP you might have to pay for it, and might get fucked over in an unfair way, but the people to talk to aren't police. Tell your lawyer, and when you get a chance the judge the truth and hope for the best, but don't trust police.

So even over the phone they can use that to incriminate me?

Absolutely. They can also lie to you and use your responses to incriminate you, and "miranda rights" don't actually mean all that much despite what you'll see in TV and movies.

we have never ending threads about the second amendment, yet nobody seems to know shit about the 4th, 5th, 6th... you know, the ones that you should know, otherwise the government just walks all over you.

WHY DID YOU WRITE YOUR NUMBER ON THE RECEIPT?
We're you hitting on this person? There is absolutely no reason for you to write your number down.

It's allright, you'll get through it. Just wait it out and see what happens. I've had police threaten to destroy me, they'll go to ridiculous lengths to fuck with you sometimes, so until you see the warrant just watch yourself and stay relaxed.
Are you still working the job? Have you actually been mailed the warrant or gotten any papers?

No, it was because the way they were acting was so bizzare I forgot to card. I wasn't paying attention to doing my job.

The cop said they would have a warrant by Friday did I not make this clear earlier?
I'm still working the job. It seems no one knows about anything there. I will have to see.

And I work as a cashier as well. If you suspect it's an undercover and you ask "are you old enought to buy liquor?" they have to answer honestly. But normally the cops don't communicate with the store. They will just show up and arrest you.
