You should apply for unemployment until you find a new job. Not sure if you were fired or "laid off", but you might get it eitherway if you are lucky.

If you honestly need someone to tell you not to sell beer to someone underage or not card them or whatever the story is now, I have a feeling you're going to struggle at just about any job you find.
Not selling to someone obviously intoxicated I could understand needing training for, bars sell to people who are drunk all the time, and unless you've been turned down alcohol because you were drunk/looked drunk before, and told why you were being refused, you might not know about that law.
Most of the laws surrounding alcohol are all common sense though. Kid tries to buy alcohol you tell them no, kid picks out alcohol adult pays, you tell them no, kid hands you half an ID you tell them no. Pretty much any scenario where you can't positively identify the person paying for the alcohol/intending to buy it as being 21 (or whatever age is legal where you are) or over, you tell them no. This also includes someone trying to buy alcohol/cigs that says they left their ID in the car and then sends someone else in to buy it.

I know, you're bored and want to go against what I think. But think about it this way. I had no prior experience in working register, selling beer/alcohol, or in retail at all. There were training "programs" which I took and which taught me about these situations and which the manager should have gone over with me. Or I at least should have been reminded about them during points of my short time there. Instead, I had one of the managers there tell me and show me how NOT to card certain persons, because they would get very irate and act like they were going to get violent with the cashier. So I learned to just punch in the DOB in the computer without carding... Very STUPID thing and I should NEVER have learned how to do that. Manager should have made that very clear. She was the assistant manager not the head manager.
Overall I just got fucked by my being there for so short of a time and from learning bad practices. It wasn't always for beer either that she showed me how to enter the DOB without an ID. It was also for fireworks and for cough medicine. It would say "enter DOB" on the compyer and all she would ask was "what's your DOB" without carding them.
You can say that its all my fault for this but dammit better training needs to be done there.

Seriously how hard is it to read a DOB ?
If you are blaming that on the lack of training. I would start with your parents.

Sounds about right to me. He fucked up, but the job sucks and he's right he's just some kid trying to make a living.
What I think happened is these two underage kids came in and bought liquor with a stolen CC and they either sweet talked or offered something to OP. It seems like he either felt pressured to sell to these kids or neglected to card them because he was caught up in people paying attention to him. Basically they hustled the shit out of him and his establishment, and thanks to the fact that OP sold them shitloads of booze on some poor mark's dime they later got a DUI and were apprehended.
He's a hero really. This guy deserves a medal. Maybe apply for the popo OP.
