Hey, this is my first grow on wbs and was wondering if this is cobweb mold or the mycelium? Any help would be a appreciated on this venture of mine.

It does look suspiciously milky and structureless to me, but I always have a hard time telling in pictures.
Mush mycellium tends to have a vaguely radial structure eminating from each grain, and be solid white or gray, not translucent, and dense. The mold I am thinking of (which I encountered but can't name) has a milky, partialy see through quality to it, and little to no evident structure. Also keep an eye out for yellowish offwhite solid growth, mycellium that has a "ligteningstorm" like stucture, or mycellium that has nodes in it that look like curdled milk or tiny cheese curds.
Don't forget you can also smell it risk free now that it's 100%, unless you intend to use it for G2G.
btw it's all mycellium, mold or mushroom

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

Yea, i really need a better picture. would it be safe to take the lid off and snap a pic if i plan on casing it next? And if it is myc, would you say it is ready to be used? Thanks.

You are planning on casing grain in jars and fruiting? Whoa. Time travel back to the 80's.
What's your filter? Shake up the jar and it should recover nicely in 24-48hrs if its clean. You should also be able to smell the mycelium through the filter once you shake it

Yes and Yes. The only reason you wouldn't want to open a spawn jar is if you were inoculating other spawn jars with it. Fully colonized material does not contaminate until it's dying. It should smell mushroomey, maybe vaguely medicinal.
BTW there appear to be a few bacterially contaminated grains in there, but it shouldn't make much difference.
^Probably doing trays of cased grains. I wouldn't shake them, that's just wasting energy. They should recover after being shaken and put into trays. Wait a couple days for recovery before casing to make sure it's good.

Either way, casing grain is so old school. But hey, if it works and you're happy, go for it
And shaking doesn't waste as much energy as you might think. I shake damn near all my jars a day before spawning just to be sure
