I disagree. It's a word and it's popular. You don't have to be poor or black to say it as long as you don't use it in as an insult.

There shouldn't be anything wrong with expressing pride of your ethnic heritage or celebrating cultural diversity.

The word Nigger does neither of those things.

He's right about the first one for sure. People don't say it because of its history. At this point in time it's just a popular word and I'm not against anybody saying it. It may not sound right to me but as long as it's not directed to someone as an insult I don't think it's a big deal.

There are definitely a couple people here who take an absurdist approach when dealing with racism. It's basically like having a couple of KKK sympathizers around only they're complete pussies who will attempt to soften everything they say with inane semantic arguments, or euphemisms that don't really mean anything.
Luckily it's probably like five people who post regularly who will always come in and employ these same tactics, where on the rest of the internet the stupidity is just overwhelming.
There is a legacy is institutional racism in America. To think that this would just disappear overnight is ridiculous, especially when people say downright racist shit all the time.
Do you understand the concept of basic human equality as it applies to racism?
Do you disagree with the statement: 'Humans can be grouped into mutually exclusive groups aka races using designated identifying characteristics that will enable meaningful predictions about behavior or capability'?
If you can honestly answer both of these questions without a prolonged 'but....' afterwards, I think it is safe to say you're not a racist.

I looked at some of the things people over at stormfront post,. I see a lot of common ideas and meme between our local racists and the ones there. At least over there, they admit they are racist.

This yes. I dont actually visit Stormfront but I instead browse it from the Google cache because fuck I';m not going to deposit my ID there but yeah, our local racists read the same articles and make the exact same points as the guys at stormfront.
As a staffer I in fact know we have some members who are active on both sites.
I recommend everyone to have a gander there, indirectly or directly. Its appalling how similar the posts and points of view are.

Yeah and it's really striking to me how anyone could deny that racism exists on the internet of all places.
It's not the racism that gets under my skin as much as the fact that people can do and say whatever they want without pressure on the internet, and so many take that freedom to make a concerted effort to argue in favor of things like racism.
I read a good quote today by some guy called John Milton
"None can love freedom heartily, but good men; the rest love not freedom, but licence."
I just feel like some people have it in their head like the purported freedom and liberty spoken about for the last couple hundred years is a selfish venture. I think that is exactly what the good, freedom loving people have been trying to transcend, and anyone who thinks that at some point in the past we were at our ideological peak is clearly not on board with any sort of ongoing social progress, which is also apparent to me by their behavior.
The absolute worst part about it is that the rhetoric works to some extent. It makes me feel like I'd be totally helpless as an individual in the face of industrial scale evil.

lol, I've noticed that before, but it was unintentional. I liked the spinning voodoo priestess because she was crazy, and despite what alot of western culture projects onto it I don't think voodoo is racist. She's just a nice voodoo lady to me, and I don't associate black people with racoons, just found that raccoon sexy AF it's been up alot longer than the spinning ladies.
I could go back to fairy miley cyrus too

When I first saw that, I didn't know what the hell was going on. Then I found it excruciatingly funny. Now I'm used to it.
Anyways..racism and people..
Put absolutely anyone that has ever walked the Earth under a microscope and you absolutely will find something that will pis a whole lotta people off. ANYONE.
And the offended will likely claim what is found is the worst human trait, ever.
Add to that the range on intelligence you find in combination with any sort of talent, be it rap, painting, etc. and you get some really interesting praise worthy combinations.
No human is perfect (and yet they are). I personally have no qualms with racists, as long as they aren't beating down my door. Then I'm likely to hurt them, but that's anyone.

This is how I interpret the raccoon and spinning lady:
Confused, unintelligent negro that procreates without a thought to the repercussions of her actions.

Dear OP
Tell me one good rap artist, that promotes peace and understanding
That doesn't sell sex/violence or get you sexually stimulated by watching the cover with sexy halfnaked ladies
Usually rap is about violence, violence they think is cool - that's stupidity Usually rap is about sex/murder/violence, how much they gangrape each other, how many chicks he doggystyled, how little the new gangs know
Rap is ego stimulation, sexual stimulation, violence stimulation (again ego)
So is there any rap that is not about ego ?
That you can listen to without trying to be cool and fit in, without having to smoke weed?

Sounds like you're a racist. I feel voodoo as a religion might be dogmatic but to me it symbolizes how passion and community unites people across cultures and time. It's more modern as well as more genuine than many other religions in my mind partially because it was born out of a spirit of inclusiveness and equality where ordinary people could attain a sacred status through charisma and genuine passion no matter who or what they were born as.

I'd had that impression of you from that sig from the very beginning. Or some meta stuff.
Honestly, I got nothing of the voodoo sort from the gal. I don't see any signifiers.
Know nothing of voodoo either. Other magickal forms, sure.
