Where is your SGFC? Is it 6-12" off the ground and away from any wall?
Do you have 1/4" holes on all six sides? Top and bottom included?
Do you have 4-5" of perlite in there?
Do you have a fan running? You shouldn't for an SGFC.
Did you consolidate for seven days?
What strain is this?

Looks fine to me. Maybe a touch dry but not much really. Why are you concerned?

So yes sgfc is to spec...used soldering iron to make 1/4 inch holes on ALL sides.
No fan
Its a foot or more off the floor and several feet from walls.
Mist then fan with lid in the AM and Pm.
Concerned because some fruits look to have pretty fat stems. Maybe im being paranoid.

Fat stems is a good thing. Means they are getting proper FAE and will grow up to be big fruits. Your doing fine

I was going to say he could stand to raise it a bit but if Pasty says you're good then you're good

Cool cool..thanks guys! Pasty, I've followed a lot of your threads (learned A LOT from them) and find it quite inspiring you're following mine.
I think I'm just being a little anxious. They were only birthed 5 days ago so I guess we're right on track. I knocked up 4 more jars the night after birthing these cakes and they seem to be doing fine thus far too.
I've been reading many teks on cloning, agar, and LCs, so I feel like I;m nearing a crossroads in my mycology adventure. Do I just clone one of the larger, clustering fruits (assuming I get some nice specimens) to agar and go from there? Or do I try and get some prints?
I hate to buy another syringe of spores if I don't need to. But I TOTALLY want to keep growing some fungus. I'm leaning towards cloning, but buying another syringe (or three) and going to LCs seems attractive as well. What's your thoughts? Especially yours Pasty?
Cheers, Pit

IMO,
Take prints and play with the print until you find a great cluster. You could clone those but you'll most likely get more fat, single mushrooms. That's fine but I like a lot of yield so I clone clusters to get more clusters.
Take a bunch of prints from your second grow and trade them in the marketplace. Someone will want what you have and they'll have more genetics. If I could do it all over again I would have bought maybe two syringes and then just traded around.

I cannot thank the shroomery and it's fine members for the wealth of information provided here.
I actually have harvested several nice fruits thus far and things seem to just be getting started in the SGFC because there's many more pins
So thank you ALL so very much, looks like I'm in for a good time soon:

Got about a half oz or more dry from first flush. Just dunked again tonight and hoping for another flush in the next few days/week. The cakes are pretty bruised from pulling fruits.
I assume this is normal?
Thanks again shroomery!
