The companies that sell it acknowledge its bad for you. You're only fooling yourself.
"Warning label on a container of Swedish snus. The text reads: "This tobacco product may damage your health and is addictive"
Yes it's the safest tobacco product.
No it's still not good for you.

I've been nicotine free today. The first day isn't bad, or the second. The third gets harder and the nights with friends who smoke are the fucking worst and it doesn't even feel like a fun night. If feels like I'm intentionally exposing myself to triggers in order to re-route my brain's circuits.
My ashtma and allergies keep making me want to quit, and then I try, but end up smoking. It's a chronic cycle. I quit for two months, until I had a really bad time on 2c-b and mxe at a show and had to go outside and smoke/talk to someone.
When I stopped smoking for the first two months, I was calling, then amusing, and then eating a ton of mints(to mimic the feeling of the snus) and etizolam.

Swedish match the company has asked the FDA to remove all of the warning except the "it's addictive", i have no need to argument or persuade someone, ive done it lots of times its pointless.
This guys a champ;

That made me crack up laughing. Go to snus reddit or something and ask. Or just do more research.. :P Theres even a 60 minutes(the tv show) on snus. Trust me i've researched it to death, if it was minutely bad i would throw it away and never look back.
Even dip is 99% "healthier" than cigs. Im a tobacco expert if i might say so myself.
In sweden there is more snusers than smokers, and sweden has the lowest tobacco related diseases than any other country IN THE WORLD.

Snus is the shit. And what the OP is saying is 100% correct. I am 0% bias as I quit years ago. But I have done research. Dip is much healthier than cigs. MUCCCHHH healthier by far. But disgusting IMO. Snus and ecigs are by far the best consumption methods when you factor in money spent, health, and saftey

That shit is fucking gross man and you will never convince me otherwise
Snus, chew, dip, whatever, it's all bullshit
You might not believe in e-cigs but I know they could help you quit but only if you actually want to quit

it sounds like OP is full of shit, but its true. Snus carries little to no risks. I assume it is a tad unhealthy, but negligible. I have currently quit but noticed little to no difference on lungs, mouth, teeth etc

Purplecapz said: Yeah, That too but i dont know if its very safe still. The mechanism of an e cig is a metal coil which heats up. If certain metals, especially tiny coils that get hot fast reach a certain temperature they can release toxic chemicals.
Back in the day I used to smoke one, and sometimes it would give me a really harsh metallic tasting hit.
Even though they appear to be safer than real cigarettes and almost certainly are, this does not attest to their overall safety as a device in general. Given that the vapors are inhaled like a cigarette, you are absorbing whatever toxins that may or may not be in the vapor.
The A1 Kanthal wire used in most e-cig coils does not get hot enough to give off fumes
As for the rest of your post, many studies have been performed proving that in general the vapor from e-cigs is in fact roughly 100 times less harmful to the body than tobacco products
I suggest you stop spreading misinformation and educate yourself, there's a link in Shroomism's signature that goes into great detail on the safety of e-cigs and e-juice
It irks me when people make their own conclusions about e-cigs when they haven't done the research and don't actually know what they're talking about
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21729582
If you really have a penchant for staying nicotine-free however, physical exercise helps a lot with resisting the cravings and breaking yourself free of the bad habit(s)
But I think you people would be surprised to know that nicotine is actually not carcinogenic or harmful in the small amounts you ingest through vaping - it actually has several medicinal benefits as well.. it is no more harmful to the body than caffeine, it simply has a bad reputation because it is associated with tobacco, which contains thousands of chemicals, hundreds of which are known to be harmful and dozens known to be carcinogenic.
Propylene glycol has been used in hospital ventilation systems for over 70 years because it is a potent germicide and actually promotes lung health; vegetable glycerin is simply metabolized by the lungs into harmless organic compounds, which are already found in our body
The only variable that could prove dangerous is the flavorings, but if that concerns you then simply vape flavor-free ejuice; I myself don't give a fuck because vapor is delicious

It's actually more like 500 times less harmful. But let's not split hairs here.

You gotta admit, theres a slight chance that these studies could be done wrong etc. But there's a damn lot of science pointing to snus being generally healthy
IMO one should still quit becuase addiction to anything is unhealthy
Even after I quit habitual use, I would use it once or twice a week and it was still quite enjoyable
If I were you, I would quit completely for a month or two, then if you feel comfortable, enjoy it weekly. enjoying a snus with a coffee was damn nice on a sunday morning. I usually quit both snus and coffee otherwise

Yep thats my plan man! Im going on a vacation soon and ill probably quit it then and if i go back ill use it sparingly, Tobacco can be extremely euphoric, especially smokeless. Where are you from btw? Which brand did you snus? Portions or loose?

Im from cali
I couldn't find any quality so I used to get it shipped her via online
I used portion (I guess that makes me a homosexual in the snus community )
I actually forgot the exact brand but I had to dig up my old tins/cans. I was dipping and found general nordic mint at a gas station and realized it was amazing stuff
I proceeded to switch completely to general (the gray container one, round container) and general mint (the one in the blue round container). I got sick of the gas station snus and ordered online. I can't remember but it was some sort of long portion general that I liked the most. I also tried some of the mini ones. "catch" eucalyptus was a go-to. I ended up really taking a liking for the taste. The taste (in my opnion) is what makes snus so great. Idk what it is but its miles better than dip

Ahh General long portions.. i used to love them! Too bad they discontinued them but they put out a new range of snuses which are basically General long portion anyway.
