I lost 50 lbs over 3 months.

Everything about my life changed when I moved to a new place.  I was 1000% more active

I did not have a car and walked everywhere.

I lifted weights and did cardio about 4 days a week.

I ate completely different as there were not a lot of food options in the new place.

Had a huge group of friends and was hanging out every day doing outdoor activities

The 50 lbs came off without me trying in any way.  My exercise routine wasn't me trying to lose weight.  It was part of my social group, and I've always been interested in fitness.  It was awesome!  Because weight loss before and since has been a huge pain.

Be honest, in the waterfall pic, you were holding your gut in right?

When I was a junkie I weighed like 125 pounds.

My normal weight is somewhere around 175.

I gained twenty pounds in two weeks when I got clean. No exaggeration.

Junkie is a lifestyle right?

Congrats to everybody that lost a lot of weight. I heard it isn't the easiest thing to do.

I have a solid 15 to 20 to lose myself. Then again I've never been overweight so it's just a small gut, but still, it makes me feel fat. So I gotta lose it.

Things is, I drink Pepsi, I drink beer, I love pasta, I love restaurants... I love basically verything that could make me lose wight and I am unwilling to sacrifice anyy of these things.

Oh well...

Can you be convinced to just drop the Pepsi? Just drop the pepsi and substitute with as much water or tea as you want.

Unless you are in strong weight gain mode, just dropping daily soft drinks will make you lose weight.

1 can of pepsi = 41 gr sugar = 150 kcal. If you don't drink 1 can of pepsi a day you lose almost a pound and a half per month.

If you drink a liter of pepsi (3 cans) a day, just cutting that out will make you lose about two kilos, more that 4 pounds, per month. That means that if you drink a liter or 3 cans you dont have to change ANYTHING about your food habits, just cut the pepsi and you're on a diet.

Yeah//// the damm pepsi. I dring Pepsi next with only 27g of sugar per can (100 cal). Its still horrible, but less...

I really should try something. Just to proove to myself that I have some sort of willpower within me.

Its best to drop the bad habit of soft drinks, no need for a lecture but really, the negatives outweigh the positives enormously and at those sugar levels it doesnt even quench thirst anyway.

I am guilty of drinking almost nothing but coca-cola ever since I was a young teen

I usually drink at least a 2 liter a day, I might make some lemonade or ice tea for an extra .5 liters of fluids on a hot day but not often.

It has fucked with my teeth (I have 1 missing but tons have gotten root canals and many many fillings over the past 10 or so years) and all the caffeine gave me anxiety issues when I was younger

It never made me fat though. I have been in between 145-165 ever since I was 15 years old and am 26 now

I could never give it up, it tastes so good and it feels really good in the mouth, with the smooth, almost syrupy texture and the carbonation is a really nice sensation in the mouth.

I only drink 2-2.5 liters of straight liquids a day, it doesn't cause me to be more thirsty or anything like that

I also tend to drink it slower than I would anything else, mainly because of the carbonation. That also reduces intake

If you give me a 3 liter camelbak with lemonade in it though, I might drink it all within an hour or two

thats.. half a pound of sugar a day, 800 calories entirely from sugars.

1/3 of all calories you eat are from cola.

That seriously cuts in your life expectancy man, just like smoking would.

Over the last month or so I've really cut back on soft drinks, I might have one or two a week and I still feel guilty about it. Mostly what got me to stop is that I started looking at caffeine as a drug instead of that thing everyone loves in the morning to wake up with their coffee. I am guilty of drinking sweet tea though that's something that I'll always love! But I mostly drink lemonade, sweet tea, whole milk, and lots of water
