I'm talking going from 350 pound to 200 pounds and things like that. Something most definitely noticeable.
Do you have before after pics of yourselves?
I thought it would be cool to see.

I've always been on the lighter side, but a friend of mine went from fat to normal weight after he went on "The Cocaine Diet" in College

in my early 20's i went from about 330 to 165. i was up and down from there but generally kept it off until my early 30's. the past five years have been very painful though, and i tend to eat and drink my feelings. i think i'm just about done with all that.

I've lost about 30 pounds (180-150) since last year, I was taking in 3-4000 calories/day and working out everyday. All it took to lose that weight was going back to a regular 2-3000 calorie diet

When I was in 8th grade I was pushing 330. It left me with major body image issues. By Junior year I was a triathlete (football, lacrosse, wrestling) and threw discus even though I didn't attend practice or physical training.
I got down to 190 in that 3.5-4 year span. My biggest drop was 330 to 275ish over a summer and all I did was drink water, vegetarian diet outside of plain chicken breast, and going to the beach.
275 (?) freshman year down to 245 by beginning of sophomore, 190 was beginning of Junior year.
I'm currently 220 approximately 17 years later. I'm comfortable at my weight because of a barrel chest, big trunk and solid legs. I could stand to lose 30 more but I'm already swimming 5 times a week and exercising 7 days a week. Repping out light weights.
Getting down to 190 from 225ish was incredibly hard. Even running 5 miles a day, football/LaX practice and hitting the gym 2 hours a day six days a week. I went into ketosis and it messed up my liver enzymes. My pecs were striated except leftover man titty at the bottom despite heavy decline bench.
Numbers are off a bit I'm sure, it was 16-17 years ago, but 335 was the day I was going to kill myself that night. My uncle called and took me to Cape Cod for that summer.
Edit: Numbers are off a bit, this was 17 years ago, but 335ish to 190 are solid numbers.

May ask how you were 330 lbs in 8th grade? Poor eating habits and lack of exercise, or something else? BTW that's an amazing weight loss.

My HCV Diet worked pretty good, too. 185ish as a heavy beer drinker, 165 before rehab, 145 before treatment. I'm up to 150 now. I've also shrank 2 inches over the years.

Patlal, Johnson, Qman..
My family across the board all grew up dirt poor. From my great great grandfathers getting vouchers to come to America to farm, great grandparents bringing our culture over, grandmother starving through the Depression, mother being abused for not cleaning her plate at dinner. It was akin to slapping the woman across the face if you didn't finish your plate, which was usually stacked like pancakes and "seconds" was served to you before you got halfway done and then thirds. All of the men in my family tree worked on farms, or the military as gunners, or multiple jobs to send money back home. They were all skinny as a rail.
I remember eating multiple cheesecakes, 64 Surge sodas a day, tubs of ice cream, then family members bringing over food and being obligated to eat.
There was a lot of physical and mental abuse. I wish I had been taken away by CPS. Even now, whenever I gain a few pounds, even to this day, I go into rapid bipolar cycling and then starve it off. I'm still in therapy for body image issues and mental health.

I had in my life several weightloss efforts that measured 25-50lbs.
My most recent big weightloss was 33lbs which took me 3 months to get off and about 6 years to gain back. Not too shabby.
Right now I want to lose the big one. I'm about 360lbs and I want to cut down to about 200-250
The odds are INTENSELY stacked against me. I have about a 1:1290 shot to make it says this rather depressing research.
But you know what? Fuck odds. The odds of staying quit for 6 months by unaided quitting smoking are *drumroll* 4%, and I beat the shit bout of that one too. After smoking 20 years I'mj quit about 20 months. Zero effort, I JUST DID.
1 in 1290? Well I am one in a million. I'm going to beat those odds. One day soon, and I'm working on it, I'm going to flip the switch and change polarity of my life, thats how its gonna go.
Its absolutely true that I have a tendency to get obese, not just in my family but also in some medications I take. But guess what: I also make POOR FOOD CHOICES. Frozen pizza, Ben & Jerrys, need I say more? Up until 4 months ago, when I started swimming a lot for exercise, I SAT ON MY ASS MOST OF THE DAY.
Maybe I cannot get it done to diet in the long run, but I sure as heck should be able to eat healthier (and already do) and get more exercise (which I also already do).
See what you can do and do it.

35 lbs in the past 6 months. 235 ->200, now I'm going for the last ten or fifteen if I can.
I cut out my alcoholism, predominately. Booze is a ton of calories, and compliment that with the fact that a hungover DrMambo working in the food industry will start to grub anything salty and fatty for instant endorphin release as well as to satiate his bodies need for the nutrients he's not absorbing or pissing into the gutter. Even more, when drunk I lose willpower and will munch out ferociously.
So, yeah, I cut the booze and the binge eating followed.
My weightloss is like nil compared to some of ya'll. Kudos.

Kudos to you on sobriety. Weight loss is just watching what you eat and exercise, quitting drinking is admirable. It's certainly a struggle and quite literally impossible for some people to even attempt.
35 pounds is nothing to shake a stick at, either, especially in 6 months.
Give yourself some credit, you're doing great!

I have no personal experience, but when my father was in his mid 50's he stopped drinking exclusively beer and fast food and he went from 360 to 250 in 2 years. He still had to get 3 heart surgeries and died of a heart attack at 79

Congrats to everybody that lost a lot of weight. I heard it isn't the easiest thing to do.
I have a solid 15 to 20 to lose myself. Then again I've never been overweight so it's just a small gut, but still, it makes me feel fat. So I gotta lose it.
Things is, I drink Pepsi, I drink beer, I love pasta, I love restaurants... I love basically verything that could make me lose wight and I am unwilling to sacrifice anyy of these things.
Oh well...
