Quick dry methods for pods?

Hey all, how's everyone's year going? Hoping all is well with your respective grows. I've had a great poppy season, now its time to dry all these guys. BUT... It's sooo damn humid they're starting to rot rather than dry. Normally I would just hang them or even simply lay them on newspaper and put a fan on em, or even sun dry hem on the clothesline... easy-peasy. No muss no fuss. But I've never had a season go this late into summer, and it's really becoming an issue.
It's currently 95F and 98% humidity outside, so sun drying is out, and this means using the AC inside, so there's alot of condensation and not much in the way of "warm dry air" indoors. Even with them hanging with a fan on them they're showing signs of mold and rot. The high heat and humidity is producing rain and storms regularly, so drying on the plant isn't working well at all, as you can see here.

Not the way I wanted to top off the season...
I've thought about using a heater fan, simply hang them all in another room, close the door and put the heater fan on them for a while, but I'm a little hesitant. I wonder if adding more heat indoors may create condensation or other issues, or just problems from the AC conflicting with the heater, etc. IDK, Maybe I'm over thinking it.
Anyone have any "quick dry" methods or other suggestions that may help? I've heard of people using a food dehydrator, but I'm not so sure they would fit. Some are rather large. Either way I don't own one anyway, so kinda pointless for me to bring it up...
Tbh I feel pretty stupid even asking, I've been growing for well over a decade and thought I had this simple stuff down... But again, it's never been this late in the summer at harvest time, and I've never encountered this much of an issue. Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed and appreciated. Hate to start a whole new thread just for this, but after a good search I really didn't find a whole lot on the subject. Thanks in advance for any input anyone may have to share.

Yeah that's the basics of how I've been drying as well. News paper, cardboard or hanging on strong, etc. thanks for the reply tho, much appreciated. I haven't had any REAL probs yet, most are drying just fine, but are taking longer than normal for the most part. I lost 2 smaller ones to rot tho, but I believe they were picked after alot of rain, and may have been too wet.
Think I'll just wait out the heat now, while it's not raining for a few days and cut the rest then. Hopefully any excess moisture that isn't "important" will have dissipated by then. I'm sure they'll be fine, but since I'm a worry wart at times anyway I guess even the thought of losing any aft harvest is unbearable lol...
