Leaving everything behind... 1

I'm thinking of leaving everything behind. I am one of those novelty seekers that just needs new input constantly.
I am a 28 year old photography assistant. I like my work, I travel the world for it, but it is irregular and barely pays the bills.
I can stop all of that right now. I can pack up and go to Lisbon (a place I love) to work a shitty callcenter job. This instant. The doors are open.
I would be able to save up a very modest amount of money. I would learn Portugese.
After working there for a year I would have enough savings to go to a commune in Peru where they need people to reforestate the rainforest. In return they get trained by the locals as a curandero. That's a two year deal.
I would return as a 32 year old with no job and no house but with some awesome experiences.
Heck, I might not return at all.
What does the shroomery think?
Yay or nay?
Any stories from other shroomerites that have made bold moves? How did it go?

You can illegally rent my house. It's 20 min from Amsterdam central station. Just pay up every month and no one will find out.

I don't want the house. Just everything you're leaving behind. You said everything and I asked first. I bet you hand some cool shit.

Well.. If you didn't go, how would you feel a year from now?
One of my favorite quotes, from Grumpy Old Men the movie, "the only things in life you live to regret are the risks you don't take".
If your prospects are really that shitty here, I say do it.

@Psych: It's a package deal. The house comes with the shit.
@shLong: The main problem is that I see no prospects here. I don't want to keep doing what I do now. I don't feel like putting the effort in to become a successful photographer myself. And working a shitty job back home would just be admitting defeat. I need new experiences.

u had me at hello, do it!
i mean the only thing stopping most people from going on such adventures are their responsibilities, i.e. bills, school, family to take care of, but if u're on ur own then none of that really matters, u're free!

I'll keep you guys posted. I might actually do this. I can already imagine the thread when I come back:
"I was trained as a Curandero for two years. Ask me anything"

i think you are ready to do it just wanting reinforcement, if you are not happy where you are try to go where you will be. worst comes to worst you come back and do that same stuff you already do.
