Finally!! I have pins!!!! [Pic]

Last night around 9pm I checked the tub, no pins.
This morning at 630 I see 4 pins after fanning the tub!! They are spread out on the tub and not on the liner but about half an inch away from the polyfill on the bottom holes.
Is this a humidity thing?
I plan on leaving 1 hole open on the mono, and continuing to fan a couple times a day.
If there is condensation on the walls, there is evaporation from the sub!!
Any advice/tips?
I'm anxiously awaiting to see if there are any clusters of pins that form...or just a whole bunch

We are almost there!!

Would it behoove me to take a print of the biggest fastest mushrooms?
I would like to take my own prints instead of buying more MS syringes, but would the potency be better?
I've been on this forum studying for 2 months DAILY and still cannot grasp the idea of isolates, agar/lc, etc. I just know they are more consistent and produce a better overall flush.
Edit: or would a clone in agar be better? I've read the tiger drop tek, seems pretty nice.

Im not sure whats going on here. Did you case? Because the sub should be colonized on the top before it produces fruits.
If you want a clone, simply pick a small pin from a large cluster and drop it onto agar. Transfer once or twice to remove and contaminants, then you're free to use that agar to knock up grain jars.
Agar is way easier than what most people think that havent done it yet.
Also, a properly dialed in tub should require no fanning. Monos are supposed to be "set and forgot". After spawning, I dont touch my tubs for atleast a week, once I induce fruiting Ill check them after another week. If you need to be fanning, I suggest redial in your tub.

Looks like he cased and pins grew before full colonization of the casing.
I recommend leaving the tub alone and reading a bit more in the next few days while you're waiting for fruits. Looks like you took the top off. No peaking or pics.
If you've been reading these forums posts daily for two months and still don't understand isolates, LC or agar I literally don't know what to say

Yes I cased and fruited at the same time on 6/13. I've read that humidity is important, and you at least want 65% but FAE is more important as time progresses due to fruits making their own humidity. Is that true?
Also, I haven't been reading about cloning, isolates, liquid culture, etc. Until recently.
Hey I got this far with no contams so I must be doing something right..or maybe I just just got lucky.
I have one hole on top of the tub open, bottom holes tightly packed, and the other top hole is loosely packed.
Also have a fan pointed at the wall by the tub, not directly on it.

Also, I know monotubs require no fanning but I've read that extra FAE is always welcome IF humidity remains above ~65%

God dammit I'm about to correct shroominme and the bitch has me on ignore. Oh well. Regardless, why the hell would you want a casing to be fully colonized? I almost always case and fruit at the same time.
Also the benefits of a casing is you can mist it, keep it damp, and basically fruit it in open air. As long as you know to keep the surface moist, you can have as much fae as you'd want. Sounds to me like your dialed in fine. The fact you see pins sounds good too .

I case 1-2 days after full colonization, then I fruit it when it's pretty much done colonizing the casing.
Other people case and colonize to 30%
The 2 Regular Cubensis grows in my signature were cased and immediately fruited.
Find out what your genetics like and run with it, this hobby is all about working with another species. Keep trying different things and something will work.
Otherwise, good job! I bet you will see more pins soon.

You are correct that a casing can be colonized to any amount and still fruit well. That's what makes cubensis so lenient. However my attitude will always be, why do you want full colonization of the casing? It's like getting a thicker substrate. It seems a little pointless. You should have just made the substrate thicker if you wanted a thicker substrate.
I've done both case and fruit, wait for myc to poke and fruit, and 30% and fruit. Haven't noticed a difference. As long as you keep it well hydrated, you'll get what the mycelium will push out
