I use to own a .22 marlin rifle. I loved shooting it for fun but that's about it. I gave it to my 8yr old daughter last year and she had a blast with it. As for my favorite caliber I conceal carry is the .357 sig. I chose that round after watching and reading up on it's ballistics.

I feel so inadequate right now...
Here, let's compensate. I've been thinking a lot about making these for a while:
A stoneage superweapon: the spear and spearthrower! Don't you just hate it when your javelin just wounds your enemies? Fear not, with the spear thrower, you too can throw your spears straight through a guy!
I've also made a fistaxe a while back, I'll see if I can get some pics.
I wish I could make a gun...

Those are the most unreliable/horribly designed guns I've seen. There's cases of people shooting themselves with it because the charging handle is near the front of the barrel. Plus it's called a magazine not a "clip"

You're in the netherlands right? You can own a crossbow, or a regualur bow. You can't hunt with either of those though. It's under an animal cruelty law saying you can't. Which is really stupid IMO, because hunting with a bow is just as deadly as a gun.
Especially considering most animals run away immediately after shot, and you need to follow their trial. Only way that doesn't happen is if you get a perfect headshot or heartshot. And usually that's petty damn hard.

Another thing that would be good for a .22 gun is that they are significantly quieter to shoot than the high calibers.
If I was gonna buy a .22 handgun, I'd buy one of these guns. They look unique, and you can put a 30 round clip on them. It's also pretty damn compact. Here's a pic if you don't wanna click the link
It has the 30 round clip on it, they also have a 10 round ruger clip.
My cousin actually owns one of those. The comfortability of the firearm isnt really all that.I personally only like .22's for target practice as the rounds are relatively cheap to shoot off all day.

Oh and psychonautica, it is a muzzle loader. My dad got it from one of his friends. It has ammo too! I'm gonna take it out to shoot soon.

No, I took the stock aluminum grips off. I ordered the laser grip from Crimson Trace Corporation. They specialize in making laser grips for just about ever firearm on the market. I've had the grips for about four years and they still hold zero. They are pricey though. I bought the military mil spec water proof version for around 400$. I like the tritium combat adjustable night sights my gun came with but using a laser is way better. You never have to take your eyes off the target to line up the sights.

.357
Or .45
I own a 9mm glock, have yet to fall in love with the 9mm caliber, other than it's lower cost

Niether "357" or "45" are real calibers.
.357 magnum or .357 sig or...38 special or...?
.45 ACP or .45 auto or 45 long colt or...?
PS .357 sig is coolest. Its basically and auto loading .357 magnum.

.45 acp and .45 auto are the same exact bullet, just different names. It's also technically not .45 long colt. It's just .45 colt.

Thank you. I always say .45 long colt, its just what I was taught.
apparently long ago people said long colt to differentiate it from the .45 Schofield, which was used a lot at the time too.
spoiler; .357 sig
7.62×25mm Tokarev is also a cool round with lots of relatively cheap surplus available. Really good penetration for a pistol cartridge.

The 93R is my all time favorite handgun
9mm, 3 round burst, it packs a punch for sure
.22 handguns and rifles are really weak, and they sound like a flare more than a bullet going off

I'm partial to sawed off shotguns. I don't have one but I could make one from stock in about an hour. You can hold them in one hand and they make HUGE holes
