Re: 1st DMT experience... Convinced... How often should one use? No music? [Re: JacobStorm] * 1

Hour break will usually let the tolerance go away. I just did 4 DMT trips in 2 days (with a mushroom trip in between), the first 3 I did in the first day, an hour break and food break in between (all strong trips), with a 4g mushroom trip after at night, after the 3rd most intense DMT trip. All amazing, I'd love to write much more about everything later.. there's so much to process, remember, and learn how to articulate and convey.  The next day after sleep and food, I did a 4th DMT trip.

I think each person has to determine what the right amount of use is for them, like with many drugs. You must determine when you are ready to use something, and in the right place, and if it's use is serving a productive purpose for you. I think DMT is very safe in comparison to other drugs.

Music can guide the journey, that in itself can sometimes be more intrusive, or assist with it. I find DMT trips have some intense audio hallucinations, which is part of it. Non-verbal, yet audible, parallel conversations, that race through your subconscious at warp speeds, as part of the visuals. Especially "conversing with entities". Sometimes I'd come out of it and think that all the incredible things I heard/spoke/saw were seeping into the room and that my sober trip partner had experienced, and heard, the entire thing. Music can play different roles in how the trips work, I wouldn't knock either way.

Something on a lower volume, more ambient, might be better.

I'd highly recommend music. IMO its better to hear something you either like or are familiar with rather than being interrupted or distracted by a car honking, noisy neighbors or stupid barking dogs ect..

Oh I never thought of it like that

I live in the middle of a state park (literally, our little neighborhood is a little square cut out portion in the middle of the state park map haha) out in the colorado wilderness. There are never any sounds aside from birds chirping, wind rustling aspen leaves and whistling through pine trees, and maybe a nearby river/stream

The reason I suggested trance or progressive house is because that type of music just feels right while moving through hyperspace. Normally I am a huge EDM head/indie rock fan but listening to something with long noises that are repetitive don't sound "foreign" or weird like Bill suggested. When I do DMT, any other type of music just ends up almost fading out and I don't notice it. The beat of it may make some visuals change, but the sound is so distant that you don't notice it. With trance, I manage to hear it in hyperspace and it feels like a mean of transportation through the hyper-dimension rather than "music"

I guess a better way of putting it is:

With no sounds at all, I hear what people describe as a "carrier wave" which I like to describe as a full body tinnitus, where it is like a soundwave at high pitch that sounds like it just goes faster and faster

Trance is one of the only types of music that can "replace" that carrier wave, and instead of that wave guiding you through the cosmos, the trance music does

I can't imagine how much it must suck to live in a place that has uncontrollable noise

I love living out in the woods because my backyard isn't mowed green grass surrounded by a fence, it is millions of acres of beautiful nature. There are downsides (namely internet and cellphone coverage, also commuting can be bad but luckily I am only 30-40 min drive from downtown denver. I have thought about living in the city but I can't deal with random shady fuckers roaming near my house, and not being able to have total silence would be a nightmare for me. I spend a lot of time just chilling and enjoying how beautiful it is where I live, and even the rare care driving up the dirt road to where my house is can interrupt a chill session.

Especially if you like to do drugs, specifically psychedelics. I don't need to drive somewhere and ask someone to take me back home if I want to have an awesome trip in the best set and setting there is, which I have 24/7 access to by walking out my front door. There are no unexpected things that can happen, no one will knock on your door, it is really awesome living out here.

I have thought about how cool it would be to live off the land in a place even more secluded, but while living around some of the most beautiful wilderness in the world is like a dream come true, I still like going into town and doing shit like shopping and having fun at a club or something.

Where I live gives a good balance of everything, and I really mean it when I say there is no better place to live if you love tripping. You can do whatever you fucking want really, since there is like no one anywhere you can just have gun with some guns, fireworks, hell even build your own pool, no one gives a fuck.

I have tried tripping on normal psychedelics like LSD in the city and in friend's houses in suburbs and it takes away a lot of the freedom you get out here. If you take an entire ounce of shrooms and go insane for a few hours screaming like a maniac and saying you want to be dead, you can do it without having to worry about 10 people calling the cops on you lol.

It's always nice to invite friends out here because most the people I know haven't even gone camping, which to me is just crazy! It is a little restricted now because of the state park surrounding where I live, but I like taking people backpacking into the park, and then going all the way through it and camping out in the middle of who knows where for a few days. People love it, and they always tell me how much they wish to live where I do
