Fruiting chamber help

I am new to growing and need help on my second batch of mushies. For my first round of golden teachers I used an auto-terrarium that I had built out of a serilite container, ultrasonic mister, and an aquarium pump. The temperature remained between 82-86 degrees, day and night. They received 12-16 hours of light each day. My yields were not as big as they should have been and they were not as potent as I would have hoped. I made sure I dunked and rolled them before the were placed in the fruiting chamber and after each flush. I did not have a pressure cooker at the time of sterilization, but boiled them instead. Also, there was an obvious lack of FAE because there was a lot of fuzz at the base of the stem, so I made sure I fanned it once daily. Any suggestions for fruiting or the type of chamber I use? I know I need to use a pressure cooker and plan on doing that next batch.

You do not need a PC for cakes, steaming for 90min is fine.
SGFC is pretty standard around these parts. Do a search.
Fanning is not FAE. Fanning is to encourage evaporation.
Your temps are quite high. 70's are better.
Potency is genetic. Has little to to with anything else unless you screwed up drying them.
Good luck on the next round

what grow method do you normally use? Do BRF cakes yield any less than other grow methods?

I use many methods. Mostly I spawn grain to bulk. But I like to do lots of things. BRF cakes if done correctly can put out an astonishing bio efficiency. But it takes time, good cultures, liquid inoculates, and impeccable sterile tek to maximize it. So most people move on to grain because its faster if using spores, can be expanded, takes less space to fruit, and the supply of water is greater, and it usually makes it easier to get fruiting conditions correct. However switching to grains is only part of the equation and for maximum results with bulk good culturing practice and impeccable sterile tek are still needed.
I will say that there is no one way to do this. What works for some won't for everyone. The level of effort you're willing to put in will determine your results more than anything.
