Need ideas for my balcony

I have a photograph I've found that I would like to emulate onto my own balcony. If possible, it would be very appreciated if any of you could ID the plant that is vigorously growing in this photo. If not that's okay, I would be happy with any ideas of a similar plant that grows fast and vine-like to recreate a similar setup. Any help would be amazing. Thanks in advance.

I have a back porch with a similiar set up of Wysteria.
It provides a lot of shade and grows vigorously and also has beautiful and wonderfully scented flowers.
I kind of want to say that looks like hops or something but it is hard to tell
-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

Morning glories can work for that too. We plant them all along the freeways to cover the sound walls and they get massive. On a side note they are a pain in the ass when they get too big and you have to trim it down a bit.

What zone are you? You could easily do something similar with B. caapi if you were in zone 8b or above. Maybe even 8a since I assume such a setup would be protected.

Another vote for morning glory, they have some colorful flowers and you can trip of them if you chose, it is win win.

I live on the cusp of 7B and 8A. I like the B. caapi idea, but a little concerned about poisoning my cat who likes to chomp on plants. I have the same concerns about the wisteria and morning glory. I appreciate the ideas so far though. Also, the balcony almost never gets direct light. So that is a concern as well.

Caapi is a great idea plus I doubt that it would poison your cat but I'm not 100℅ sure. Some jungle cats munch on caapi to get stoned so you might do ur cat a favor lol but idk. Another idea is hops. I live in south Florida and my hops grows surprisingly well even in the summer and its currently making cones!!! Also it looks very nice and does really well when it comes to pests. I haven't had any pest problems plus its non toxic. And you can start a beer brewing hobbie!
My hops is (hops blanca) I think

Hops are an idea for sure given the zone listed, but people can be sensitive to them and they are toxic to dogs and cats unfortunately.

Thinking about it some more I'd go for a couple of the US native Passiflora species that would be appropriate for your climate. Different varieties should net you fruit if you hand pollinate or if you can ensure woodbees (i.e. bumblebees) are around.

That's actually a GREAT idea.

These are my all time favorite flowers.
