ALL my adult cacti get as much sun as possible - I don´t mess with artificial lights EVER - that is what they get in habitat and it´s FREE !!!!

Nobody ever grew a mother like this on a graft under a fluoro or a LED.

God dmn son thats a big mother! Yeah mine get full sun during the growing season, I just got this grow tent to grow weed in and to put some of the more sensitive plants in, so I figured Id get a little more growth in this year for the non grafted plant. A lot of the cacti in the tent right Im going to put into dormancy to make room for a couple of cannabis plants.

The bridgesii has grown more than the san pedro already, astonishing...

The San pedro has pretty much stalled out, he's been the same length for sometimes now, guess I should degraft it. The bridgesii slowed down but that's because I slowed watering down due to the fungus chats that were in my growtent. They're taken care  of now so its back to normal feeding schedule. The bridgesii has reached almost 6.5" already. Once he gets to be about 10 is when Ill more than likely degraft to root

Looking good :super:

I dig your desert soil mix you have them in, I love having a rocky top layer like that.

Just be careful how much you layer it, I had a peyote graft that's stock rotted from being kept too moist by the stone layer.

I could have been watering too much though and it was not on a pere which are pretty resistant to over/ under watering IME.

Yeah I had a lithops rot that way. Im thinking from now on Im gonna use gnat nix in and on top of my soil to prevent fungus gnats in the future. Ive started using a cactus mix available at the nursery down the street from me. Its a mix of aged fir bark, lava rock, sand, pumice, redwood compost and canadian sphagnum peat moss. Its got really good drainage, I sift out a lot of the big pieces of bark though.

And yeah peres are crazy water tolerant. I dont go overboard with watering them, but I havent had one rot yet and I water them probably every 3-4 days

Gnat mix is a good idea, those lil bastards harass my plants pretty bad sometimes.

This mushroom season I kept seeing gnats flying around shroom patches  thankfully I only saw one larvae on a mushroom all season, 'twas a small shroom too.

I like using local mixes too but its fun customizing them as well, I go back and forth between buying cacti mix and just mixing in desert stuff into quality soil.

Nice looking plants bro. Best bet just cut that pach and plant it. Pere stall out at a certain point it seems so you gotta follow up once they reach a certain point.

BTW Bro could you please change that sig? How about that first shaky guy in that video. For some reason that dude makes me REALLY ANGRY:justdontknow:

There is a possibility. I've cut some that had stopped growing and most have pupped although 2 seem to have completely stalled.

I would cut it low leaving a line of about 4 or 5 groups of areoles and just see what happens. Root the cut and grow it out.

BTW I like the new sig:super:

Threads like these make me feel like I'm slacking in the garden.  Great job.
