My first graft; sexy new growth ;)

This was my first graft (well I did 3) I did. It was pretty terrible to say the least, I had to regraft all 3 because the first time I tried using the standard method of cutting both of them horizontally and putting the scion on the rootstock, this didn't work because the scion was huge compared to the rootstock. I should have researched a little more before attempting to graft them because I butchered my pour little seedlings I regrafted them using the appropriate method of spearing the pereskiopsis into the scion. I grafted a san pedro and a bridgesii onto pereskiopsis and a peruvian torch onto a stenocereus.
Here's my little bridgesiii finally recovering I have the grafts outside in full sun right now and they're getting watered every other day when they get dried out. I have a few questions though as far as achieving optimal growth as I'm still a beginner to cacti. I have the grow more cactus juice (1-7-6) and I water them with that about once every week - 2 weeks following the instructions on diluting it. Could I feed them more? Or is there a feeding schedule I should be following that you guys might recommend? Such as watering them daily at %50 strength (just as an example of course). The dark parts of the seedling, I assume that's from the damage I did grafting it, will this turn back to green? or will it just remain dark like a scar?
Thanks in advance for any replies. I really appreciate The Ethnobotanical Garden forums, its my favorite part of the shroomery. I'll post some more photos of my grafts and my setup after I get off work. I have my all of my pereskiopsis in one of those 18 cell seed starters filled with a coir/pumice/perlite/course river sand mix with the bottoms snipped out in placed in a sterilite container filled with some of my homemade compost as is described by hookahead in XLSCG / Soil VS. "Dirt" myth. The seed starters' soil was watered with VAM endo mycorrhizae innoculant, as well as the compost. I'm not sure if mycorrhizae are beneficial or not to cacti, but I assumed they probably are and couldnt hurt anyways so I gave it a go

The best thing you can do right now and the one that will boost the growth of your scion immensely is to cut off all the branches on your stock that are consuming most of what it takes up from the ground (at least two are clearly visible on your photo). As for feeding, stick to the prescribed dosage for now, but I would not use the fertilizer you're using. 1-7-6 NPK may be good for mature slow growing plants but not for your Trich on Peres graft. It's like feeding Michael Phelps with salad and still wishing it would take gold. Go for a balanced fertilizer, like 1-1-1 or 1-2-2.

Woops, I meant to mention that I had done this already haha. The picture was taken before cutting the two off of this graft and one off of the san pedro graft and planting them in soil to root.

Any brand you would recommend? I have some 20-20-20, could I dilute this to 2-2-2 and use that?
I've got a few more pictures to share for ya, the bridgesii is really taking off!
The pedro is actually going slower than the bridgesii which sorta surprised me.

Beautiful work my friend i would love to do a graft one day that looks like a lot of fun.
What are the particulars when grafting as the type of plant specie.

Looking good. You can use the 20-20-20. I would start with a dosage of anywhere from 2.5 to 5ml / liter of water / week and see what happens, especially with the soil surface (algae buildup will be a sign to cut back).

Thanks! And I actually just went and pulled the bag out of my garage and its 10-10-10! Its granule, and there are no instructions on the bag for diluting it into water. How should I go about this? The brand is Sta-Green. I dont even remember buying it tbh, lol.

Thanks man! I have some lophophora seedlings I just germinated that I want to graft next, I'm just scared to cause they're so small. And only two of the 20 seeds I sowed germinated. I have them in the greenhouse I sometimes fruit trays in. They're under a single 16W flourescent tube and theyre in high humidity, I was thinking about putting saran wrap over the tray and putting it out in bright shade like you recommend in your sig, Z. I'm just worried will it shock the ones that are already germinated?

From my few loph sows I have notices they tend to germ over awhile, I still have the occasional ones popping up from decently old trays.
I actually attempted grafting a very little one myself the other night and so far it has done well, not fallen off the stock even though its so teeny.

Okay cool, thats good to know, I was worried about my low germination rate. I found a thrird one germinated today though I went ahead and grafted one of them, it went pretty well. I'll post pictures tomorrow. I also grafted a bridgesii seedling I sowed a few weeks ago. I've got about 50+ bridgesii variant seedlings I germinated including crosses with sierra blue and kimuras spiny giant. This one was just a plain old bridge though They're so cute. I'm definetly gonna start a lot more in January.

The few times I have sowed them I didn't get the best rates either, and some tend to die from the occasional rot or pest attack
The way I look at it though as soon as I get one grafted I can just graft the pups and clone it a bunch so I don't need tons of seeds.
I do want more though
Lil bridgelings are super cute

Update: This is three weeks after grafting. I now water my grafts with a 1-2-2 diluted fert solution every watering.
As you can see the Bridgesii is really taking off. The san pedro has only recently started showing new growth. The leftover bottoms of the grafts are doing well also, the san pedro bottom kept growing. The bridgesii bottom had me worried, it looked rotted. But just two days ago I check on it and it was pupping!

My peruvianus-steneocereus graft is doing well also. New growth isn't as apparent on it though, its actually almost doubled in height since then, and grown a lot in girth.

Overall everythings looking good. I've got 42 seedlings of different bridgesii varieties right now and 4 Williamsii. I attempted grafting one of the williamsii seedlings but failed

Update: Everythings looking great, the bridgesii has already passed the san pedro graft in growth, the stumps are both pupping, and I made several more seedling grafts of bridgesii variations and two williamsii grafts. A few got a little rusty looking but its healed up a lot, only a couple still show signs of it.

Once they adapt to outside they straight blow up in growth!
Just make sure the pere is not getting to much light, I definitely lost a lot of leaves moving grafts out a bit early

My peres are pretty much leafless, I think we need some warmer nights here and they will start putting on healthy growth, I did root the 2 in winter.

I didn't know it was possible to give them too much light, lol. They get like 9 hours solid of direct sunlight. I also give them 1-2-2 fertilizer every 3 days though, so
