So guys, perhaps time for affordable healthcare?
I'm not even going to say to you americans, I feel deeply sorry for the way your country's health system operates. When I was living in the UK I once overdosed on drugs and sustained physical injury. I woke up in the hospital, all taken care off, they even took me to a special unit to chill for 10 days with free food, entertainment and free drugs for a month afterwards. They didn't ask me to pay a single penny.
I love the NHS.

I'm not a UK person, I just lived there for a few years. I do have an AK-47 tho but I rarely use it. Now back to UK, I feel that having access to free health care is somewhat more up my alley than having a gun.

it's more complicated than that. should you have been doing drugs? at least enough that you'd land yourself in the hospital?
sorry but it's no excuse.

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say. I overdosed and had to be taken care of, they did it absolutely free of charge with free follow up and free drugs to fix me up.

i'm not saying that you shouldn't have been saved, i'm saying, should you have been doing enough drugs to overdose.
i feel for ya brah, but personally, i have never gone to the hospital. so maybe i can't comprehend where you are coming from.

By affordable you mean making somebody else pay the bill? I agree that the bill is ridiculous but the hospitals do that nonsense in order to cover for the bums who get care and don't pay. These can always be negotiated down.

werent you one of those people that was all in favor of the affordable healthcare act that we affectionately call obamacare, the same affordable care act that resulted a $32,000 in medical bills for my daughter's broken arm, a bill that would have cost $3000 just before obamacare passed
maybe it's time you foreigners get your noses out of the US healthcare system
Yeah your mess of a healthcare is all Asante´s fault and not at all the result of an inherintly broken bi-partisan government where results and practicality take a back seat to party ideology! Get him!
On topic: Jesus fucking Christ with a strapon, if I got a bill like that I´d be ruined for YEARS! AND IT WAS A MEDICAL EXPENSE!
You lot in the US... if you don´t start shooting up some bitches in suits real soon, you better hand over those damn guns because you CLEARLY are not using them right.

No he means reducing the vast power of the medical industry within your borders and everybody sharing the load of everybody. This will result in a rattlesnake bite just being deadly, instead of capable of ruining you financially.

I'm pretty damn sure that the average Canadian pays a shittton less for medical expenses than the average American.
The average citizen ends up needing several surgeries and hospitalizations in a lifetime.
Solidarity, not "I'm healthy and those who are not get not a cent from me" while medical expenses go through the roof for simple procedures.

6 years ago to get a broken arm set and casted the cost was around $3000, my daughter broke her wrist, it wasnt a compound fracture so there wasnt any surgery or any of that shit to deal with and even if there was it still would have been around $16,000. in fact "decades ago", a person would go to a hospital with a broken arm and an orthopedic would be called in to set and cast the arm in a single visit, now it's a trip to the ER, an appointment with an orthopedic and then a few follow up with the orthopedic before they remove the cast
now tell me, how does all this sit with your false claim that it's always cost $32,000 to have a broken arm set and casted, I can tell you without a doubt that the cost of all this shit has gone through the roof due to obamacare

Well, that's wrong, isn't it? You guys are getting robbed.
I'm not speaking for others, but I was pretty glad when I heard about Obamacare. Because I thought you guys would be getting the same deal we have. We have all heard the horror stories of families being destroyed by insane medical bills, so excuse me for wishing an end to that.

my mess of health care? I didnt vote for obama or any of those democrats in office, I encouraged people not to, those that did vote obama were influenced in part by all the foreiners that were telling the public that obama is a great candidate, comparing obamacare to actual universal healthcare in their countries and telling us how great it would be and I can say without a doubt that I've told everyone it's just the opposite of what the canadians, english and netherlanders have claimed it would be... so tell me, how many of you guys wish to chip in and cover this $32,000 bill
