Chilli euphoria 1

The euphoria you get from hot chilli is so fucking REAL. I have bhut jalakias, carolina reapers and habeneros in my cupboard but I'm only eating the habaneros at the moment. I just had one habanero and the euphoria is damn good, I'd say better than any opiates I've tried but of course, it is a very, very short lasting euphoria. I am gonna go for a jog one day and immediately after, eat a habenero. I would if the euphorias would synergise.
I can see why there is chilli heads

Yep, endorphins are released when you ingest spicy foods. Definitely feels good.
I would think that since your body reacts to spiciness as pain that your body would also produce a natural painkiller. I'm not sure if endorphins fall under that category but whatever chemicals your brain releases feel great.
As for the chillis specifically bred for heat like the Carolina Reaper, I think that's a waste of time, arable land, and food.
When the pepper is unnaturally hot such as the CR, it loses just about all flavor. The reason I eat spicy foods is because I absolutely love the taste that different peppers give (i.e Mexican cuisine, "mole" sauces are made using a wide variety of peppers to layer the flavor and heat). If it was just pure heat in the pepper, I wouldn't bother with it. Might as well just use pure capsaicin.

chillis are my favourite food during my time off opiates. They give you that little bit of euphoria that takes your mind of the opioids for a little bit.

I got a bunch of Ghost Peppers growing now.. Some of them are already finger sized. I'm anxiously waiting for them to fully ripen. Kinda scared, too.
I think I'm going to turn most into chili oil.
Because of this exactly:

I'm still gonna try one I think, just so I can say I did it.

It's always been a dream of mine to grow some crazy hot peppers. Scotch bonnet or ghost peppers or something along those lines. I can barely handle habaneros and those other ones are supposed to be like exponentially hotter, but I still think it'd be a cool project.
Spicy foods are the best

Finally got some ripe ones These things are amazing. Much more tolerant to their heat than I expected though. If you watch videos of people eating them, it's like it's way too much to handle. Maybe they just aren't as used to hot shit as I am. I can definitely feel all the sensations that would cause the behavior they exhibit, but I seem to more or less be in control (though I did start pacing back and fourth at one point). I can definitely tell they are far hotter than any other pepper I've had (there is literally sweat pouring from my face).
I just got done eating hot wings I made with some of the peppers I have and have found both heaven and hell. I'm being burned to death but it's so damn good.

These I grew myself. I'm sure they're not the hottest ghost peppers out there, but I doubt they're far behind. The heat they have is kinda insane and I've never really felt anything approaching it before. Even habaneros seem like jalapenos in comparison.
I plan to keep growing these every year, will be interesting to see if I can kick up the heat even more notches.
They have a really great flavor too.
EDIT: And yeah the very first ones I picked weren't hot at all, they had just barely turned color and I got too anxious. This particular batch sat on the plant for awhile to fully ripen, I have some more that have been going even longer (can't wait to see if they're even hotter). There is a huge difference made by how long you let them set on the plant. The ones I have now are kinda pushing it. Judging from my past growing experience, I expect these to fall off naturally any day now.

I finally just realized the whole point of spicy food pretty recently. I always hated it and just assumed everyone was a culinary masochist. But my brother used to trick me into eating jalapeno poppers by telling me they were chicken nuggets when I was little(he also told me to try onion rings that turned out to be calamari when I was like 5 but I digress), and I just refused anything remotely spicy ever since.
But then I had some cajun food that was so fucking good that I didn't care that I was practically crying my way through the meal but the pain was strangely pleasant, I imagine your brain is firing off a bunch of serotonin.
I'll do it for Ethiopian, Moroccan, most north african/middle eastern food, but I really dislike chilli - or at least the chilli I've tried up here in the northeast, which might just be a cheap imitation of whatever they eat on the other side of the country.

I having chillies as they have a good taste to them, the heat of them is pretty good. I've had the Carolina reapers and they are extremely hot and cause an acidic gurgle that you need milk to help it.
They are useful for the cold when they are used with peppermint oil that they heat your body up intensely.
However I prefer jalapenos as my basic spices that I eat more often and are spicy, but nor too spicy or not spicy at all.

I've been eating Habaneros for the past 4 to 5 days now. I started on 2 small ones, now I am up to 2 big + 1 small. The burning is significantly less. They give such a big, noticeable boost to mood and well-being. The natural opioid high!

When you eat chili capsaisin effects your nervoussystem..hence the burning...that tells your brain that your body is in pain...and endorphin is released. You are right on that.
If you like heat with aroma test trininad scorpion.

Awh maan. Chillis are a godsend after getting clean from opiates. I am eating 4 to 5 Habaneros a day. The intense burning and pain is like a distraction. I close my eyes and concentrate on the pain and just learn to accept the pain. Shortly after the intense pain hits and you accept the pain, you are hit with a euphoric wave and high. You are energised and feel good, withdrawal symptoms disappear and I feel motivated enough to do intense exercise to get endorphins and other neurotransmitters flowing.
Try it, people

I just had my first Ghost chilli. I had some Ginger before, just incase for my stomach. The pain and burn feels different. Much more intense but feels less irritating.
I feel My opiate withdrawals have literally vanished and an amazing euphoria is flowing through my body.

Spicy food is just heaven!!!
I fucking love spicy food, when I was a kid there was a pizza place near me that had "911 wings" but only as a challenge, i can't remember the numbers but if you ate so many in a certain amount of time you got like a 500-1000$ gift card to their place.
You had to sign a disclaimer saying you couldn't sue if they were too hot but they eventually had to discontinue the challenge when the wings lived up to their name and 8 people went to the emergency room feeling like their stomach was being eaten apart now that I think about it I don't think I ever heard of someone that actually succeeded. Always wished I could of tried one just to see how hot they were.
I get my fix of spicy food from an Indian place about 20 minutes away from me nowadays. Just tried their spiciest option last night and was surprised that it was too hot for me, took me like an hour to eat the shit and I can usually eat anything hot or spicy with no problem considering spicy foods are my favorite foods lol

I ate a whole ghost pepper on a dare once
I was drunk and didn't think it would phase me
About 3 minutes later it felt like I just took a body shot to the liver from Mike Tyson in his prime

I have a mate that did a ghost chili eating competition... he bowed out at 3 and couldn't remember how many the winner ended up eating as he was in too much pain.

And I can eat some really, really hot stuff too -- I'm not overstating it when I say that I have a really stout tolerance when it comes to hot or spicy foods. I was nibbling off ghost peppers for fun that weekend (we went to the world market earlier that day and picked up a bag of them). So I thought (while drunk of course), how bad can a whole one be? I mean yeah it'll be hot but whatever, it'll be brief and pass.
But dude, I swear, the pain was so sharp that it felt like I got stabbed or some shit. The stomach pain was fucking real, man. Like I had to literally lay down...lmao. That single ghost pepper laid me out for the count. If it was a boxing match the ref would've counted me out.

Just like Mike, they are not to be fucked with. We got winter here now so my plant is suffering, I might get one more lot but then I think that's it until it warms up again. They make some amazing hot sauce (I dunno what else to do with them apart from tear gas tbh).

I can handle them in food or small pieces at a time. I can't imagine eating one after another though.
Though if I was gonna do something like that, I'd be damn sure I was gonna win first. I'll be damned if I'm gonna eat three of them and stop and get beaten by someone who ate 7. I'm gonna vomit on myself and go delirious getting a dozen of them down.

I ran out Habaneros so Ghost chillis are my only current option. In all honesty, it is the stomach discomfort and nausea that bothers me most with these Ghost chillis. Even have a full stomach of food does not seem to lessen stomach discomfort. I also refuse to use milk/casein. I truly think experiencing ALL the pain the is the full experiencing.... not just having some milk when the pain gets "unbearable".
Ghost chillis no longer reign supreme in potency, I have Carolina reapers but they make me shudder at the thought.....maybe when my capsaicin tolerance is higher Ghost chillis average from 850k scoville to 1m. Carolina reapers average 1.5m scoville to 2.2m.
That just worries me.

For sure. Every opiate addict/someone going through withdrawal needs to start consuming really spicy (at least cayenne or habanero) foods. The endorphin ruse (and whatever else other bodily functions that happen) certainly do help.... alot.... for several hours.

Lol

It's great, isn't it? I finished my pack of Habaneros and now onto the Ghosts.
I'd be wary of going straight to Carolina Reapers. That's 350k scoville to 2.2m scoville. You'll probably be vomiting and feel like your stomach is getting ripped by apart then be shitting lava for hours on end.........

I ate a piece of a ghost pepper the size of my pinky nail once
Holy fucking hellfire it felt like a hot coal in my mouth
About 30 seconds after I started chewing it up I started salivating like fucking crazy, tears started gushing out of my blood-red eyes like a floodgate, I had to run to the bathroom and splash cold water over my face to cool off, it felt like my brain was boiling inside my skull
It was fucking awesome, I kinda wanna do it again but gah that pain is fucking exquisite

I think anything like Ghost chillies is too hot to consume on a regular basis. They give me moderate nausea and stomach discomfort. When I pissed this morning, it was like peeing out fire. I was quite worried but it turns out over consumption of capsaicin can lead to bladder irritation (and not just lava shits) The euphoria, rush and high have also pretty much vanished. Further research Googling says tolerance can develop when used too often.
I ordered several packs of Habaneros for when my tolerance lowers.
Which is alright because opiate withdrawal is pretty much over so I don't need to "abuse" chillies. I just went on a 1+ hour walk and jog with a friend and I felt great.
