I love chilli, make a big ass pot of chilli and I eat the shit out of it for a few days. Then proceed to have the most terrible gas. Chilli really does give great euphoria.

Finally got some ripe ones These things are amazing. Much more tolerant to their heat than I expected though. If you watch videos of people eating them, it's like it's way too much to handle. Maybe they just aren't as used to hot shit as I am. I can definitely feel all the sensations that would cause the behavior they exhibit, but I seem to more or less be in control (though I did start pacing back and fourth at one point). I can definitely tell they are far hotter than any other pepper I've had (there is literally sweat pouring from my face).
I just got done eating hot wings I made with some of the peppers I have and have found both heaven and hell. I'm being burned to death but it's so damn good.

These I grew myself. I'm sure they're not the hottest ghost peppers out there, but I doubt they're far behind. The heat they have is kinda insane and I've never really felt anything approaching it before. Even habaneros seem like jalapenos in comparison.
I plan to keep growing these every year, will be interesting to see if I can kick up the heat even more notches.
They have a really great flavor too.
EDIT: And yeah the very first ones I picked weren't hot at all, they had just barely turned color and I got too anxious. This particular batch sat on the plant for awhile to fully ripen, I have some more that have been going even longer (can't wait to see if they're even hotter). There is a huge difference made by how long you let them set on the plant. The ones I have now are kinda pushing it. Judging from my past growing experience, I expect these to fall off naturally any day now.

I finally just realized the whole point of spicy food pretty recently. I always hated it and just assumed everyone was a culinary masochist. But my brother used to trick me into eating jalapeno poppers by telling me they were chicken nuggets when I was little(he also told me to try onion rings that turned out to be calamari when I was like 5 but I digress), and I just refused anything remotely spicy ever since.
But then I had some cajun food that was so fucking good that I didn't care that I was practically crying my way through the meal but the pain was strangely pleasant, I imagine your brain is firing off a bunch of serotonin.
I'll do it for Ethiopian, Moroccan, most north african/middle eastern food, but I really dislike chilli - or at least the chilli I've tried up here in the northeast, which might just be a cheap imitation of whatever they eat on the other side of the country.
