I'm aiming to not eat much in fatty foods.
I'm not fat nor skinny in case U wonder. I do 2 exercises: Crunches and walking.
Fat is good for you. The healthiest comes from salmon and nuts.
Which one would be less likely to put me in the hospital is a terrible strategy for fueling your body.
fat = extra energy, correct? this can be good, but not too much.
too much sugar + too much fat = dio-beat-tease
I dont want to come off as preachy or know it all but I have spent hundreds of my waking hours trying fad diets, reading about nutrition and digging through the bullshit (in that order). I lost about 60 lbs 5 years ago in a matter of months and have gone from obese and ill to a health nut. I just feel my input in nessacery
You could try a couple of different approaches, but all methods typically fall in here, and possibly as a combination of two or three of these: 1) vegan, usually low fat. The main macro being starch/sugar and llots of veggies 2) paleo; high fat, medium protien. Carbs added as needed. Lots of meat and veggies. Some fruit and tubers n such 3) bodybuilding: high protein, high carbs. Usually chicken or white meat coupled with rice or some sort of veggie 4) IIFYM. Basically count macro nutrients and fit your fvorite foods to reach your goals
Unless you guys are high level athletes, there is no need to count calories in my opinion. I would go for 1, 2 and 3 options
To be clear, all of these diets agree on cutting out sugar, seed oils, fruit juices, wheat and most dairy and processed foods. From there, you need to see what works. All the food that is left is tubers, red meat, fruit, coconuts, veggies, organ meat, bone meats, white meats, eggs, sprouted whole grains, nuts, and legumes. As for milk products, I would generally avoid other than yogurt and butter
In general, if you eat in the paradigm above^ you should be fine. Eating any amount of those foods will cause you to lose wieght. Not because of sugars, fats etc. Most of these foods are nutrient dense and fill you up effectively

I lost a few pounds eating McDonald's at least once, mostly twice a day for several months (Return lost wallets). Mostly medium double quarter pounder (adding green chile, an option in NM) and McGriddle combos. Something like 2,200 calories for one of each, and that would be most/all I ate that day. I figure I mostly lost weight from malnourishment. Like you said/implied, eating an appropriate amount of calories won't cause obesity. Even from McDonald's.
Aand now I'm hungry

well that doesn't really imply that you were "healthy". You wouldn't really be doing your intestines a good job by eating that

A) The person who went on a Wendy's Jr Deluxe Cheeseburger diet
B) The person who went on a Burger King Whopper Jr diet
I could easily google it, but I'll go with Wendy's.
Yeah I'm also guessing wendy's

I did not mean to imply it was healthy whatsoever, "figure I mostly lost weight from malnourishment" and all. FWIW my IBS did not worsen, nor my ulcers flare up unexpectedly. Again I'm sure I was not getting enough vitamins, but I don't think the food was particularly hard on my GI system.

Ya I misread ur post. I was a little too Stoney when I read it
But I am quite surprised then. I assume that McDonald's and fast food in general is not far off from standard American diet
Out of curiosity; wat precautions have u taken with Ibs? No gluten?
