So I noticed some of my babies were ready, so I picked them and they are now drying like this. How does it look? Will they dry okay here? Did I pick at a nice ripe time or?

Those could have gone a little longer. Also, are you just letting them sit in a bowl? That's what it looks like. Either fan dry them for like 2 days before placing them in desiccant or get a dehydrator and have them be done in 12 hours, without desiccant.

More like any food dehydrator, highest setting. Prolonged exposure of moist flesh to air causes more oxidation than sub-200F temps.
And yeah a few of those are ready, a few of the others not quite. But, it really doesn't matter, they should still be just as potent.

If it's got a controllable temp then you could do either 160F, which is usually the highest, or SOME PEOPLE (not me, just some people here) claim they "look better" when you dry them at 120-130F. That still doesn't affect potency so it's up to you, I prefer to get them dry as fast as possible so I can store them and stop using electricity.

Can also use calcium carbonate ( Damp Rid) from your local store, cracker dry but fan first 24 hours.

When people say "mostly dry" in reference to fan drying, they're referring to drying them under a fan so long that they literally cannot get any drier. This takes a long time. There are plenty of points where you'll think they're dry and then a day later the moisture redistributes itself and you have a limp soggy moldy old mushroom. It's not always just 24 hours, in some environments you could be fan drying for 3 days before they're ACTUALLY dry enough, in practice, to store them with a desiccant. Desiccant is more practically used to KEEP them dry, vs getting them dry. Fuck up just one batch and you'll see.
Nobody who takes the hobby seriously dries this way. A quick search makes this abundantly clear. My tone comes off sharp but that's how a warning should feel.
