Why try to prevent contamination at this point?

I'm guessing you grow cakes? They are contamination resistant after birthing and spraying saltwater on them is super goofy.

There's a difference? If you have a contamination. Toss it. Salt water won't magically keep contaminations down. Just like lysol, bleach, alcohol, oust, etc.
Everything is sterile until full colonization. After that, it should have the capabilities to fight off trillions of contamination spores. Salt water would probably just weaken the mycelium and open it up for contaminations. If you're worried, make sure it colonized 100% clean and sterile. Use agar and click improve your sterile techniques in my signature.

I use salt in my perlite to prevent any growth in the perlite, it will not degrade like peroxide will. You have to be careful to not let it touch the myc or shrooms, and salt will corrode metals.
In PMPs I have seen people put cakes directly on rocks, if these have absorbed salts its a no-no. Also people will put cakes on foil, which would corrode.
I use dishwasher salt as its cheaper.

Make a FC that doesn't contaminate regularly... Salty water evaporation rate is different if you use salty water it may throw off humidification properties
