White growth over Cakes: HELP
    #21957720 - 07/17/15 07:59 PM (8 years, 6 months ago)

Dear Fella and Ladies,

I would consider myself a beginner: (level 2 or 3 on a scale of 1 to 10)

I have done some very successful grows and some not so successful grows.

I just birthed some cakes, gave them a soak for 12 hours and then placed them in my fruiting chamber.

So far, I have seen quite a lot of fuzzy/blue growth over the entirety of the cakes, with one or two pins/shrooms growing.

Here are a few pics. I'm a little confused, as the humidity is correct and they have been getting fresh air, although, it may not be enough, based on these pics.

IF anyone has any ideas, please let me know, and i'll make some changes.

Thanks fellas, and ladies.

two different cakes, one shot of the temp and humidity. let me know what i did wrong. thanks.

I dont care about your hygromether, but your mushrooms are lacking fresh air.
it doesnt look like the holes in your chamber are 1/4". you need that on all 6 sides, 2" apart in a grid pattern.
then elevate the chamber off its surface with 1 jar in each corner.
add 3-5" hydrated perlite.

always dunk your cakes for 24 hrs and roll in verm after the first time.
rinse cakes right before and after you dunk them.

do this and you'll be golden!
