Going to use Kratom to stop drinking.

So I am overweight, and this is solely contributed to drinking. I am big boned and have been overweight all my life. In the past I have successfully dieted from 350 pounds to 230ish pounds and looked great, all though still being a bit overweight as well as loose skin from losing 120 pounds in 6 months, on a 1500 calorie a day diet. It worked very well though. Note I did this with no exercise and was working full time at an "on my feet" job, probably walking close to 4-5 miles a day just working alone. My family has a history of shitty metabolism on my mother's side. My mom, her brother, and her mom all experience this. When I got up to 350, I was drinking cheap beer daily and the pounds packed on, I quit cold turkey, utilizing weed to help me quit.
After my psychosis, weed doesn't have the same effect, it makes random thoughts pop into my head that I have to constantly brush off, and just isn't the same high as it use to be, which sucks because I Use to be a daily smoker, loved it and handed out many of free rips in my day. I have recently been experimenting with hydrocodone in the 20-40mg range and it really alleviates my urge to drink, but I don't have the supply I would need on a monthly basis to get over the drinking hump. So I'm going to turn to Kratom in hopes of utilizing its medicinal properties to help with my urges. Now I LOVE drinking and I'm not quitting because I think I have a problem, but merely to help me get back down to a reasonable size. I love mushroom hunting, hiking, going to the river, foraying and the like, but at my current weight (380 pounds), theirs simply no way I can work, shit i can barely stand up for 30-45 minutes without my back killing me. If i had a sit down job it would work, but i'm unemployed and currently working on a edible mushroom indoor grow room to get some much needed funds coming in.
I plan on buying 1 ounce of each of the strains to start off with (one green/red/white variety) to keep tolerance down. I usually drink in the late evening and ride the buzz until I go to sleep. So I will be dosing 4g orally around 7-8PM and this will last me about 3 weeks. Once i find a decent vendor (going to start with KK all though prices seem steep, me) and fine tune my intake after giving it a whirl. This will be my first kratom experience.
My future goals are to grow oysters and sell to my local community (zero competition on craigslist), save some money and invest, and lose this weight. Just wanted to share and I'll keep this updated as time goes on (with pics) once I get my hand me down camera in.
Much love, Lovesquare

Yep, I use kratom to not want to drink. It really makes you not want to drink. It just doesn't sound good. I'm not sure if your addicted to alcohol but if that's the case you'd need to tape but kratom for sure does curb cravings for alcohol.
The only thing that I would complain about is that it's really hard to wake up. I need a solid 9 hours of sleep because the kratom makes sleeping so enjoyable. You gotta run too. Only way your going to lose weight, also get some metamucil or other form of fiber. Kratom clogs you up.

Yeah I plan on using a fiber supplement in addition to Kratom, no worries, but thanks for the reply, and I know it will help curve the cravings, I am addicted, but it isn't a problem in my life, if that makes sense. Done a lot of research on topic, and this is what I plan on utilizing.

Kratom clogs you up, but in my case it kills my appetite.

I have been no lie been making bean smoothies for a while now and god damn are they good. It's more like bean soup. I just buy bagged beans (low sodium). Soak overnight, cook them when ready. Add to nutribullet throw in green onion, celery, lettuce, tomatoes, and a bit of milk to get the bullet moving. Then blend up. Throw in bowl and heat up. It taste fucking bomb and is so good for you. I'm getting mad fiber from this routine and it's a great protein source.

nice man, my favorite fiber/protein vege is lentils, nothing better then a spicy lentil burrito with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and sour cream, not to mention the salsa! Going to order my kratom in a couple hours.

hey square!
dude, I would tread lightly when dealing with kratom. I found it to be SUPER addictive, for real. I quit the booze three years ago, but since then ive dabbled here n there with benzos, and pain pills. percocets, to be exact. anyway, I could take a couple percocets at night, n be done with it. kratom however, has me swallowing down spoonfuls at work in the bathroom like a junkie I originally started taking it cause it was recommended to me on here as a natural alternative to anti depressants but I honestly found it to be extremely habit forming and really brought out the addictive nature of my personality.
and anyway, whats the sense in using one drug to get off of another?? you said u were using hydrocodone to quit drinking, but then what? ok, you get rid of your alcohol urges only to pick up an opiate habit? seems risky to me bud.

Hey mad, alcohol is destroying me, slowly but surely, and I know kratom can bet mildly addictive, but i wouldn't compare it to being a straight opiate addiction. Like i said, in the past i effectively used weed to stop drinking, but i've used opiates to successfully curb all alcohol cravings ive had effectively, and much rather use a plant then a poison. I know it's substituting a drug for a drug but ive done this in the past, and i plan on utilizing it again. I rather be addicted to a medicinal plant instead of a poison. I don't plan to stay on it forever, just to alleviate initial cravings, a slowly shy away from it, if it sticks, well hell, it's a plant . I need to lose this weight, get back in tune to my hobbies, make a living, meet new people and follow my passions. I need a serious turn around, the time is now, and with this great community behind me, I will go far.
