Help a sista out.I have jars that are really ropey but in some spots not so ropey. I noticed that some are not the same shade of white
These are some of my brf jars.also notice some yellowing of because I made my brf too wet when I mixed up my substrate.

First pic (left) looks fine and dandy.
Second pic (right) looks strange, I cant tell if the yellow is metabolites. Not sure, it could be a bacterial infection, or metabolites.

First one is fine. I second that.

Get a clearer pic or pictures of the second one.  That looks like it could have something bad going on..

Yay. However that's because cubensis is a mold too lol. First is good. 2nd is bacterial.

I somehow missed you saying you made it too wet.  In that case I'm thinking 90% chance that's bacteria.  Now maybe someone else can weigh in on what you should do with it.

If it was mine I'd toss it. It's not worth it because it'll have a crap yield, as well as be open to contamination.

:whathesaid: lots of bacteria in your jars. I'm guessing it's from the syringe.

They both look suspect.  Did you use a SAB to inoculate?

It's PF tek..  I used to do that shit in my bathroom using the toilet ad a table and never had any contams. Lol. OP doesn't need to use an SAB.

And being that it's a bacterial contams it is a way better chance it came from the syringe or the water content being off.

Yeah man.  At least you know what you did wrong.  It's so much more frustrating when you dont.  A higher water content than suggested in anything seems to lead to bacteria.

Whenever you feel like getting back on the horse reread the tek and measure twice mix once. Lol.

Not so. (Although you were kind of on the right track. LOL!). That would be kind of the same as saying Human's are Apes.  Both Molds and Mushrooms belong to the Kingdom "Fungi" as Humans and Apes belong to the Kingdom Animalia.  With that being said... Cubensis's are not molds. (and Humans are not Apes).  :justno:  Mushrooms fall in the "group" Basidiomycetes While Molds fall in the "group" Hyphomycetes  It's all in the Scientific Nomenclature.:awesomenod:
