Lipstick Mold?

Hey all, First grow ever.. Definite contamination. I have it separated from the other jars in another room (closet). Looks pink and orange, and if you look closely at the top, you'll notice a pinky-nail sized spot with some black spore clusters. I just finished reading a thread where a guy's mycelium triumphed over this type of mold. I have 2 questions: 1. Do yall agree that it is lipstick mold? 2. If you knew that I was going to be stubborn and unreasonably attached to this jar, what precautions would you take to birth it and transfer it to the terrarium(obviously, once the mycelium colonizes the entire substrate, if it does successfully)? Thanks a million in advance...

I'd look up fusarium mold, and what it can do to you, and toss that thing in the trash can yesterday. Seriously don't fuck with anything red, pink, purple, or black. You don't want to be sorry.

It might be fusarium mold or it could be geotrichum candidum aka lipstick mold either way they both produce mycotoxins.
Fusarium is notorious for vomitoxin
Lipstick mold can cause geotrichosis, not good on the lungs.
PC or steam sterilize the jar and then throw it out

Thanks for the reply guys. Since it's my first grow, I threw a latex glove over the top, and I'll just see what it does. I will toss it sooner or later, though.
Another jar has some grey fuzz growing. It looks like the mycelium is kicking it's ass, but I wont birth that one either.
I just had to get over tossing them.. I just want to see them thrive, and was a little too attached to the end result.
I think I'll switch to using half pint jars so I won't be so hesitant in tossing them if the get contaminated.
Cheers!

Show the Grey one there's a chance it's still fine. Mycelium comes in different shades a lot of the time.

Half-pints colonize faster too so there is less chance of contams as well as havin more even water and compaction. The bottom of larger brf/verm jars normally compress or get too wet
