You don't have to. Bulk substrates have beneficial microbes that fight off bacteria.
You can always reuse a jar. Soap and water to clean and the pc will kill the rest.
Either an inoculant problem (check out my improve your sterile techniques in my signature) or you didn't pc long enough, I upped my pc times to 2 hours with a noticeable difference. Or both.

What do you mean fruit it? You do realize that's a jar of grain spawn? You spawn it to a tray or a tub of coir/verm/gypsum. Once that's colonized, you fruit the tray or tub.

Also, can i just put cococoir and vermiculite? I coulnd't find gypsum to buy

And I told you it would be fine lol. Guess I didn't describe it well enough. You don't have to toss it. You can still spawn it. Bacteria may slow it down and increase chances of contamination, but honestly what noobie hasn't spawned a bacterial jar? I'd say I've done well over 100 bacterial jars.
Bulk has beneficial microbes and is pretty hard for bacteria to colonize. Unlike mycelium which tears right through it.
You can probably get away with no gypsum. I just think you should try to get it still.
If you get a contamination before a flush, blame this bacteria.

gotta say Mad Season, upping the time to 2 hours helped a lot... almost ran out of water though in my cooker. the grain also started to caramelize, or kind burn, but everything is 100% in the last run i did and performing beautifully. recommend this change OP

Haha gotta not let the rocker shake so much. Some people tape a quarter or something onto the rocker so it maintains 15 psi without rocking much, or at all.
Also I'm glad it worked man I was pretty happy when it worked too. Grains should have zero bacteria if they were sterilized properly
