no, it bloomed early because the plant was inside during winter.. also it depend on the zone you are
but seriously dont do it....
Hur hur hur, derp.
I know what is is, I know what it does. I wouldn't condone or recommend anyone experimenting with it.

I had some shit like this go down in my last grow, was all stoked. Then, most aborted but the tub still produced great subsequent numbers. This may not happen (hopefully), but be prepared.

I fully recommend everyone reading the train wreck trip reports on Erowid though, fuck, they're some mental trips (to the hospital mainly)

Mike, give those guys a few more days. The caps open early just like pe do. Them little guys have plenty of horizontal space for them to grow. Trust me, you won't regret it. Oh and another tip. Give them a good mist and leave the lid off for 20-45 minutes. If this trick works for you like it does me, you maybe picking some monsters by tomorrow morning. Oh and only pick the ones where the caps start to curl up. Try not to pick any small imature mushrooms, they'll wait for days for you to harvest the other mature mushrooms before they'll ever take off.
I've been misting them twice a day as of right now. I just take out the poly fill the last 2 days of most of my grows. I run a fan in the room also, they get plenty of FAE. I will try your trick tomorrow with leaving the lid off! Do you do it right after misting? Twice a day?
I think you are right about harvesting times though, they do love to keep growing and growing!
Only 1 thing I disagree with, at least with this particular set of genetics. They are a PAIN IN THE ASS TO PICK! I used Jiffy/verm as a casing and it just seems EVERYTHING these guys colonize becomes rock solid.
It seems like you have everything in order. I give a good misting and then leave the lid off for a bit because it seems to me that it gives the ksss a bit of a growth boost. I'm not saying it is gauranteed to work for you. Since everyones average room temp and rh are different and the fact that I don't mist everyday could also play a role. I only mist those little fuckers when growth seems to slow down which seems to always be the last day or two.
About harvesting, from my experience it seems as though the second half of a flush is always waiting on the first half to make room for them to grow. Some cultivators may see it as two flushes but I beg to differ. My second and third flushes come the same way but are about 1-1 1/2 weeks apart.
I find the opposing opinions on whether they are difficult to harvest or not to be very intersting. I'm rocking a ksss clone, so it could be a genetic difference. I case with straight verm, if I do decide to case them and have not experinced anything becoming rock solid. What you described sounds like my ventures with reishi, now those sum bitches become rock solid and are tough as shit to harvest.

KSSS made into honey
Insanemike : These were much easier to pick than the first flush. There were a few that the mycelium were just rock solid and solidified substrate that would pull up, over all it was much better picking this time.

If I remember correctly, Muda harvests many, if not all pins when he gets a pinset like that. Maybe he'll chime in..

My first time growing mushrooms! For some reason, one of them seemed to produce more mushrooms earlier than the others. The others eventually caught up.

Eww! Is that a wooden plank in there? Build a proper fruiting chamber for those things.

I used to harvest all my pins and keep them separate from my other fruits for personal consumption. I can't really be bothered to that anymore. I hate harvesting.

seems like more work to put planks of wood in, than a couple sheets of foil.
