colonization is slow
    #2195163 - 12/22/03 07:51 AM (14 years, 1 month ago)

I did my b+ casing last wednesday at 3 p.m. I checked on it yesterday and there is some fluffy white stuff forming on top of the cake which I knew would have the best colonization. The other cakes themselves are colonized perfectly but the rhizomorphic growth hasn't spread very much. Can anybody reccomend anything to induce spreading of colonization in the casing? It has been about five days now and I thought that the casing would be completely colonized so that I can initiate fruiting. I'm really patient and not really worried about waiting...I just want my fungus to be good. I'm sure plenty others feel the same way.

um in GL&P aren't you the guy who posted his casing and said you had 2 iches of verm as the casing layer? yeah well it's going to take forever to colonize that and your results won't be good, you need to take some of that off if you haven't already, other than that just keep tempature around 85 and wait

There's a thin line between sanity and insanity... and I just snorted it.
