Could this environment grow actives?
    #21950282 - 07/16/15 01:50 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

There's a little forest near where I live and ive never really gone shroom hunting before, but my question is should i keep an eye out in this area around shroom season/rainy days?

also there are acacias growing here, anyone know if they could be active just by looking at them?

fair enough, it tends to rain a lot in summer and it gets super humid down here though.

Actives can pop up in any environment that sustains enough humidity for their fruiting conditions. They have even been documented here in Colorado, though on an extremely rare basis. Most mycologists agree that humidity is necessary for psilocin formation, there are plenty of active species which will grow in arid climates; they simply won't produce psilocin like their brothers and sisters found in more humid climates. Actives typically need several days of near-100% humidity to fruit.

Haha, isic found a nice score here in Colorado today, just further proof that magic mushrooms can find their way into arid climates when there are unusually humid conditions in the area:
