i am ordering some pleurotus ostreatus spawn that hopefully will arrive in 2 weeks.i would also like to add that I've never grown anything before
i am going to grow them in a laundry basket like i have seen many times, my questions are:
1) Is there a way to get unlimited flushes? 2)can i re-colonize old substrate after it stops flushing? 3)how long will the jar of spawn last in the fridge?
thanks.

Look into pasteurizing straw. That is going to be your first step. Also how much grain spawn are you getting? The amount of grain you have will directly determine how much straw you use.
You may want to look into getting a pressure cooker to make your own sterilized grain.
Overall what determines the overall mushroom besides genetics are the following. Light, FAE (gas exchange)and your Humidity levels. Too high and too low are both bad.

1) Nope, all living organisms are finite. You can however look to doing a g2g on the master that will give you milage, again it is finite but huge.
2) Nope, substrate will be exhausted.
3) Short answer, I just spawned a 8 month SRA I had lying around (not in the fridge, ambient temperature) and its doing fine. A slant however can last years and is the preferred method of long term storage.

I am not highly qualified to make recommendations, but I think you might mean 1kg of substrate? You wouldn't pasteurize spawn as it is a living thing and that would kill it. Pasteurization may be done with your water keeping a temp of 140-160 for 60-90 minutes.

Pasteurize the substrate that you will spread your spawn throughout. Things like straw and sawdust are perfect pasteurization candidates. Just make sure you let it cool to room temp before actually mixing in your spawn.

You need to start doing some research, mycelium is living and needs to be treated as such.
Use the search function for pasteurising, MudaFuka has a good Oyster tek http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21690790 (found through the search function)
Oysters are quite easy to grow. Kings were my first oysters.
