My GNJ bag contammed on me. I've got a bag of the g. formosanum going as well. 50/50 hwfp/dried sweetgum fruits. It looks like its covered in some kind of contam as well but that was after I cracked the bag when 2 blobs formed. It's got 2 skinny ass antlers that's been growing for a while now.

That's a shame you lost your gnj Mrgiraffe, good luck with the G.formosanum. This block has been a battle since the beginning, it was way too wet to start and ended up with some bacteria but somehow it's still going.

I had a contam show up, anyone recognize this?

I harvested one fruit to add to my herbarium and left the rest to battle it out.

Mushme, so glad to see you growing these. It's interesting they started out lighter then got darker as they matured.

I would tend to agree, they look like antlers that have started to wind down. You may be able to induce conking on one if you remove the others then provide it with more fresh air, but it is impossible to tell how this species might react, some species react very poorly to abrupt changes in conditions.

Keep in mind folks that the cultures we got are most likely "G1" clones of the parent specimens. I'm sure we all will need to further "domesticate" the strains by creating monoculture isolations.
