I had a strong first flush and just as strong flushes afterwards. Ended up with right under a pound, dry, when I finally decided to toss it.
If it does anything, it just lets you get more flushes out of the tub. Got around six moderate to strong flushes out of it.
I really hope that's what happens, a little revigor or something. My gut feeling is that the tub will grow and grow normally. Just with a black purple streak

Sweet, just let me know whenever your done after that, I'd really appreciate it. I'll have some prints from some Chilean after awhile. I'm cleaning it up on agar then doing some V-TEK style mini grows probably once I get some promising sectors. I'll send ya a few prints back. Its nice to see a fellow michigander on here. I also have some white morel & amanita muscaria var. percinia colonizing some agar for shits and giggles, once I get it cleaned I wouldn't be opposed to sending a wedge if your interested in either of them, I'm mainly just practicing sterile agar tek with them. The one question I have to ask though is Wolverines? Or Spartans?... Haha.

Update time.
Day 3.
Not much has changes. Gave it a tribal dunk because it needed it and I'm also interested to see the spores and shit react to dunking as well as substrate.

Hey, thanks for the idea to document it. I'm tempted to do it again with the other tub, it's about 5 days from a nice fruiting.
I feel it was most likely my fault for the spored tub to catch trich. I did a dunk but wasn't careful enough to prevent all surface pooling.

Well unless you are trying to get prints, I don't see why you would let them go that far anyways. Unless on accident of course. It happens quickly, can't always get to them.

Damn! Wirh all the spores on that substrate, if contamination is avoided, you may get every last drop of nutrition out of that tub. You could grow for years with those millions and billions of microscopic purple black beauties. Can't wait to too if even more pins come up from the spore areas and maybe another gene pool will colonize right on top of the other myc and prove even more resilient. Loving this experiment, I'm going to have to try an eternally flushing V-Tek container and somehow find a way to add all the nutes I can in with the water when dehydrating to try and keep in going past my 6 flush personal record so far. One mushroom, 35g wet that was wider than it was tall lol. Thread is on favorite.

:-( wah wah wahhhhh. Like getting a whammy on press your luck, you just never know. Trich is a like a drive by shooting in Detroit, random as fuck sometimes. Good grow though regardless.
